I bought two more!
2 years ago I had the traditional heavy 50' stiff green garden hose and a never-works-as-well-as-you'd-like-it-to garden hose hideaway reel in my backyard. It'd be covered in blackish grime and rot, the Texas heat would crack it, and this time the connectors on the reel broke too, the plastic had just broken down.So I had to replace it again. Oddly, I had just read a review that said flexible hoses like this were actually really good, so I figured I'd give it a try. I figured a light, elastic tube would probably melt in the summer heat and if so, well, I'd just return it and get a normal one.Instead, it lasted over 2 years, through 3 Texas summers and a freeze that shut the state down for weeks. When it broke it came down to my own fault - I got it caught on a sharp edge and I pulled hard to loosen it.Unfortunately, these hoses cannot be easily repaired with some duct tape or vinyl patches. So here's my recommendation: Get this hose. After the original broke I replaced it with the same hose, and then bought second one for the front of the house. Sure, the front hose there still worked, but this is just a far better one. It's light, it compresses when not in use, it expands up to that full 50 feet when being used and unlike the stiff green hose, you can just plug it into the sprinkler and it stays in place, rather than twisting it to match the direction the hose feels like being. It comes with the pictured sprayer, but importantly includes a plastic hanger that goes over the faucet to loop the hose over. These plus the hose and it's still the same or less than the standard hose? Yeah, no contest.

Great Hose!
I needed a long light weight flexible hose so I could wash the outside of my house easily (Using Mold Armor in a bottle that I screwed on to the end of the hose). I didn't want the Pockethose that is advertised on TV as I had had those before. The Aterod was much more sturdy and the bonus feature of an ON/OFF switch was so helpful -- I totaly recommend it - especially for women - so light weight that it does not strain your body moving it around. The 100 ft reached around my entire house which is a 2600 sq ft home. (From side to side) I have 2 outside spigots but I only needed to use one as the length was sufficient once the hose had water flowing through it - it expands quickly to the 100 ft. Drains quickly. I will be storing in the garage for winter and not leave it out in the elements or sun when not using.

Best Hose I Own
This is a great hose. I was debating between this one and one I saw at target for the same price. The major difference is that this one has a metal connector on the end of it- most others have a plastic one. This means that dropping the hose once finished with it or whatever will not break the connector fitting. I've had several in the past that have done this and it's so frustrating that just dropping it down once done watering renders the whole thing useless. I would get this over any expandable hose on the market. As for comparing this to your run of the mill heavy duty hose, this wins hands down. You may not get the same water flow as one of those (Which by the way I don't think you would notice- I use this hose with my 1900 PSI pressure washer and it works just fine- gets the necessary amount of water to do the job), but it is FAR more maneuverable than those ones and it truly never kinks. I definitely recommend this product!

Great lite duty hose
I've been on the fence about these hises for a while. Bought one in the past (differnt brand) and was so dissapointed I didn't have enough water pressure to make it fully expandJump ahead to this hose I'm now living in a new house with great city water presure so I decided to try again. So glad I did. First read the instructions it's not complicated but it you want the hose to expand fully you need to allow it be on with the end nosel turned off. The hose expands and is ready to use. It is lite tangle and kink free. When your done turn off the water and leave the nose in the on position the hose will empty and shrink back down ro ist original size. It seems to have aqiquite water presure for hand watering patio plants and potted trees. You can't use this to run your sprinkler. And since to water comes from reduces diameter outlet of water it takes a little longer to fill my watering can or get the same volume of water as with a conventional hose.however the ease of maneuvering it around is definitely worth a couple of extra minutes and I never have to back track and un kink the hose or worry about breaking and knocking over plants. I would buy this product again and would recommend it to my friends.

Look no further for a high quality, lightweight flexible fabric garden hose!
We purchased the Aterod 50 foot expandable garden hose to replace our old traditional (heavy!) garden hose. Though it's only been about a month, I am extremely impressed and satisfied by this product. True to its description, the hose is very lightweight which makes it easier to carry it around the yard. The hose is also easy to store (the company nicely provides a holder and a bag). It quickly expands from ~17 feet to the full 50 feet once the water is turned on. I have not experiences any tangles or kinks. Once the water is shut off, the hose quickly (and consistently) shrinks back down to its original small size. Like other reviewers have remarked, it's kind of fun to watch the hose shrink! Importantly, as other reviewers have noted it's best to turn off the water and release any remaining water pressure before winding the hose back on the holder. The quality of the hose is very good. I have not experienced any leaks nor issues with the provided spray nozzle. The brass shut-off valve moves easily and effectively shuts-off water to the spray nozzle. The spray nozzle has 10 different spray patterns and I found the force of the water coming out of the nozzle to be sufficient for gardening and washing the car. The hose itself seems quite durable. Though it's only been a month, I have not observed any marks or distress to the hose from moving it across the yard or driveway. All in all, this hose has been a great purchase. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to purchase a flexible fabric hose.

Reviews are accurate
We needed a 25’ but bought the 50’ just because some said the 25’ was not 25’ when full. This was for my mom but I do the watering when I’m there. Very impressive hose, I prefer my 3/4” behemoth for washing my truck but for what this is designed fo, I would not hesitate to buy one of these myself for lighter duties. Have bought 3 other’s like this for mom and they all leak, so yes, more $$ but worth it. Surprisingly the free nozzle also works well and does not leak at all like the $40 one I just had to return. Great purchase.

Soft, flexile, length , nozzle
Hi, I use this hose mostly for watering my garden, it's flexible, soft, nozzle works well, does'nt drip,,,, what I was surprised about is that it did'nt stretch to 50', no matter how you pull on it, you won't get 50 feet!, I ordered 50 ' as my old vinyl one is that, this one is more like 40 feet!, if you want 50' order the 75' , I wish I'd known as I would have ordered the 75',,,, I'm unable to get all around my garden with it, yet it spays far, I'll keep it, yet it's shorter than advertised!
