1st pack was great, 2nd was terrible
I ordered a pack of these (1 dozen) about 6 months ago. They shrink a ton in the pre-wash initially (as they should). I loved them so much I wanted to replace some worn out chinese pre-folds I have had since ds was born. My second package did not shrink as much in the wash, and the quality out of the pre-wash was horrible. I just finished pre-washing them and went to stuff them in my pocket diapers and there are annoyingly LARGE lumps of cotton all over the INSIDE of the diaper in random places, and the center section that is thicker seems like it was not sewn in properly, so after just the pre-washes it is bunching together in large clumps along the inside of the diaper. It makes for a rather lumpy and uneven diaper (and I would imagine uncomfortable). Will not be using this 2nd pack, and will be looking elsewhere to replace them. What a waste of $23. Disappointed. The first pack is great, thus salvaging to 2 stars.

Better quality than the Gerber prefolds that I puchased from WM.
I bought these cloth diapers to make personaized burp cloths for gifts. After washing/drying them, they wrinkled up pretty badly. I ironed them and now they are ok for sewing/gifting, but I will not buy any more of these. The gauze is woven much tighter than the ones I bought at WM and I think they would be great for plain burp cloths and diapering, but I don't want to have to iron the bunched up material every time I want to sew on them!

Great for nighttime diaper layering
These diapers are great for nighttime diaper layering. They're very thin, so I pair them with a bamboo insert and then cover it all with a Thirsties diaper cover for nighttime. The insert wicks the moisture away from baby's skin, and this diaper absorbs the excess without adding too much bulk. With this combo I have yet to experience a nighttime leak (and my 8 month old sleeps through the night and pees A LOT). I would not recommend these on their own. My baby can soak through the thicker cloth diapers during the day, so there's no way these would do the trick on their own.

Make the Best Burp Cloths
I purchased these prefold diapers to make burp cloths by sewing a strip of fabric to one side. These work much better than any other type of prefold diapers I have used. They are made of a nice cotton, and they get softer with each wash. They shrink quite a bit in the dryer, and after they've been washed they get slightly lumpy. But they are very absorbent and work well as diapers.Best part: they have multiple uses.

2x5x2 regular: Good but not as big as expected
I ordered this because the infant ones were too small by one week....I guess I have to get premium prefolds to be able to do anything but a trifold. Once my baby reached about 11.5 lbs (at one month) she no longer fit these. Otherwise, they're nice, absorbent enough, etc. I just trifold them and it's fine. They absorb about as much as the 4x6x4 infant size but without adding too much extra bulk which is nice.

I'm sad I decided to try to save a few dollars
Balled up a bit more than the Indian ones when I washed them. They are also quite thin. When they say 2/4/2 it means two layers of very thin cotton, then 4, then 2. I wish I spent the extra .50 per diaper and got the premium infant size 4/6/4 instead. It is worth the price difference. I'm sad I decided to try to save a few dollars.

Should be thicker!
I like that they were all white so I can embroider on the edges. They are not as thick has I would have liked.

Best for Machine Embroidery
The Regular 2x5x2 are my favorite for machine embroidery for burp cloths. They are thick enough to absorb spit up and thin enough to sew easily. (I had a little bit of problems with 4x6x4 cloths.) The Regular size the best size for covering your shoulder. (Infant is too small after you wash them.) I do not use these as a diaper although I did use cloth for my children.
