God Girl Bible Hardcover – April 1, 2011

We bought this for our 14 year old grand daughter and she loves it. She was living in a very troubled environment for a lot of years but now attends an all girls Christian school and really has gotten her life back on track. She loves this bible and says it has a lot of guidance and answers for problems and questions for young girls that they cannot always find in a traditional bible.

I purchased this Bible for my daughter and her eyes sparkled upon seeing it. A couple of things make this Bible special: the devotions, introduction to each chapter, subject index, reading plans, glossary and easy reading style. Topics covered include: bullying, fear, forgiveness from God, forgiving others, gossip, revenge, mean girls, peer pressure, jealousy, standing up for yourself, fairness, loving your enemies, pride, trust, success, spiritual warfare and Salvation, just to name a few. I believe that the Hand of God was with this author and that any young person can fall in love with it! This would make a truly wonderful gift.

This was okay. Not my favorite Bible for my preteen. It's not very inviting. More like a school book feel. Small writing and a little intimidating for a child when they open it up to check it out. Needs more color variation, font changes and so on to be inviting and motivate young readers to check it out. The information within is good, but by appearance looks more for an adult. Bland appearance.

The God Girl Bible is an excellent companion for the spiritual walk of women of ages. The devotion sidebars are especially helpful when the reader needs to better understand the history of the Bible and for self-application.

I bought this for my teenage daughter (15). She hasn't gotten it yet, so I will tell you what I think. It is a nice hardback book. There is a page to write To, From, and Date. The book gives an at-a-glance look at each chapter. This gives the important characters, vocabulary, setting, and the GIST. Through out the pages, there are "Know Yourself" devotionals. There are also "Ask Yourself..." sections regarding the readings. These are intended to make you question what you would do in the same situations as characters in the reading. The book's print is purple, and is decorated on its pages by vines, branches, leaves, and flower blooms. There are blank pages in the back and on these pages I wrote special things on each. I added a letter to my daughter, a copy of the Lord's Prayer, and The 10 Commandments. I think something I appreciated as I was growing up was the ability to look up readings on particular topics like suicide, gossip, hurt feelings, bragging etc and this book has a reference guide in the back to do just that.

I love it. I love bibles that you can understand.l. I love the devotions and the “know God” sections in the GodGirl Bible.

This is the best translation of the bible. Great quality product. I bought this for my woman and I couldn't help be start reading it first.

This is a lovely bible for young women. It's not only beautiful, but it has prayers and excerpts randomly sprinkled throughout the book that are very well written and relates the Word to modern day issues women face. This would be a wonderful gift for any young woman in your life.
