Just about perfect
Back to basics! Simple, does the job, no useless bells and whistles. Feels sturdy (like I won't smash it with my first attempt at Snooze). Has all the features I want and none of the junk I don't want. Nice easy-on-the-eyes green numbers, big but not too big, not too dim not too bright. Snooze button with optional light-up option for it. You actually have to move switches--good firm switches--to activate the time-setting buttons. That means you can smack the snooze button without worrying about accidentally resetting the time, or activating a radio, or an Ipod, or a dual alarm*, or a projection, or the weather, or nature sounds, or..... I don't want the bridge of the Starship Enterprise. I just want a decent freakin' alarm clock that's easy on the wallet. I never even use the radios on clock radios, but it's all I could find until now! This has a 9-volt battery backup. It plugs in and doesn't run just on batteries. Decent length cord. Loud but not deafening beep, 9-minute snooze that repeats at least several times. Distinctive snooze button look and feel, so you don't have to hunt for it. What's the point of a snooze button if you have to sit up in bed just to find it without activating a hundred other features?!Decent weight for such a small thing, especially with the battery in it. Yes, I was surprised by how small it is, no bigger than a fat donut with an end sliced off. But, that works for me. The only improvement would be rubber non-slip feet. It isn't top heavy, but is small enough that it might get knocked off the table. It feels solid enough, though, to survive that just fine (at least on carpet... but who in their right mind has cold marble or tile floors right next to their bed). You wouldn't believe how many clocks I've been through, or looked at, the last few years that had incredibly stupid, useless or extravagant features. *And what's with dual alarms, anyway? Pointless unless you have twin beds with a table in between. Even then, why put your own alarm near your partner's head? And if you, like most couples, sleep in the same bed, you have to reach over your partner to turn it off...probably waking them up in the process. Duh! Save your money and just buy two of these; one for each side of the bed!Basic. Well-built. Simple; no User Manual required! Finally, somebody gets it! Thanks, RCA!I rarely rave about a product, but it's about time some real thought went into providing a basic quality product, instead of just flimsy, poorly-designed, gadget-laden junk.

AMMMMMMAAAZZZZING DEAL AND VALUE!
Amazing product. The Product is amazing as it has a big display where you can see the numbers. When I turn off the lights the display automatically knows to turn on a dim almost glow in the dark light. The snooze button is back and has a nice click feel to it. On top of that the alarm clock works on two AAA batteries and the third battery is back up. The sound of the alarm is very impressive as it starts with one beep then it turns into two beeps. After that it turns into three beeps and then it continuously makes loud noise until you wake up. One thing I hate about alarm clocks is setting them up. My old RCA I bought 10 years ago as a painter set up. This one is very easy as you have a master selector switch and then that controls the exact button and function. If you’d like to set the alarm you switch to alarm and then you can change the alarm Siri simple and took me 30 seconds to set it up. The added benefit is that it displays the temperature and it also displays the alarm time in the upper right hand corner and even the date it’s a very multi use clock and very well priced at $10 I will be buying another few for family and friends.

Small, basic, easy to use.
Small and basic. Just what we needed to replace another alarm clock that stopped working. It does have a battery back up (or so it says) when I added a 9 volt battery to this thing I thought it would turn on even without being plugged in. But it did not. I'm not really that concerned though. It also has one other perk and that is a snooze button that lights up, so it's easier to see. We don't use that feature, but maybe you would. The display itself is easy to read from across the room.Very easy to program the time in. No problems at all.UPDATE 4/3/18 - Having used it for awhile, it's working fine. No complaints. Glad I was able to get an inexpensive alarm clock. I don't need lots of bells and whistles. No regrets.

Like Sands Through The Hourglass...
I purchased this clock after my old one became possessed and started acting foolish. I had my old one for well over fifteen years and did not want to have to see it go. However, when the alarm randomly goes off at 320a when it’s not even set it is grounds for immediate termination. Not really, it took me 3 weeks to decide on this clock.Though I have not spent as much time with this one yet it seems to be doing its job properly. I’m late on my own terms, not because I have a janky clock. The numbers light up green which I appreciate. Waking up to red numbers is a negative way to start the day. Green means go, like go back to sleep for ten more minutes. Better make it fifteen. It’s a simple little clock. It doesn’t take up much space and seems to get along with the record player it shares a power strip with pretty well. I assume it likes long walks on the beach because who doesn’t really?!All in all it’s fitting in nicely so far. It’s adapting well to the time change, which makes one of us. I look forward to overthinking another digital clock purchase in what I assume will be a shorter span of time.Rest In Pieces old clock. Gone but not forgotten.

VERY quiet alarm with no volume control. Nice, big, easy to read display. Displays the date numerically 5/16" high, 12 or 24 hr option time with big 1 1/2 inch numbers, alarm time (only one setting, not a dual alarm), and temp with option of °F or °C. Be sure to save the instructions, slightly tricky to set up the first time. Nice for a cheap clock, but very quiet alarm so probably would not wake you up unless you are a light sleeper. Works okay for me. The light sensor did not work on mine (can press the snooze button on the top to light up the display at night). The alarm only sounds 1 time for 1 minute (unless you hit the snooze button) and then will sound the next day at the set time unless the alarm is turned off. Uses 3 AAA batteries. Generally, I like the clock but only rated it as 3 stars because it is made in China and I think the alarm is much too quiet for most people.

Perfect for what I needed it for.
The school bus I drive doesn't have a clock. I really need to know the correct time to drop off/pick up the passengers. This battery operated clock is perfect as it's dark in the mornings and with it's low level optional always on backlight, and large digits, it's just bright enough. I velcrowed the clock to the dash and as it's not too bright I don't find it distracting. If I need it brighter I just touch the snooze button and it gets really bright for a few seconds. Cons: You have to be looking at the screen at a certain angle, or you won't see the numbers. Once you find that angle it's fine. I left it in the bus overnight at -30 C and the numbers were only partially visible, and it lost about a minute. In fairness, not too many electonics would function well at that temperature. I now take it out of the bus at nights. I recommend this clock for situations where you don't have electricity but need to see the numbers in a low lever backlight that can be always on and senses darkness.

Super cute... Super useful..
1st image you see is in unlit condition. 3rd image is lit condition when you press the snooze/light button on top. 2nd image shows the back side of the alarm clock for you to change all the settings. One word I should say is Impressive... The numbers displayed are bold and visible from a distance...Even old people can easily read It. It is quite easy and intuitive to set time, date and alarm. The sound of alarm is good enough to wake you up. Sensor switch at the back when switched on puts on a dim screenlight when in dark such that it does not intrude your sleep but bright enough to be visible throughout the night. During daytime it becomes like in image 1 without any light. This alarm is a perfect company to get rid of mobile for setting alarms... Absolutely loving it...
