Not for expensive axes...
It's a basic stand- nothing fancy. I would not trust it to support your expensive axes, because there is a chance for them to make contact. There are no other means of support for the sides of the body or butt of the guitar, they just lean. Foam isn't very thick; a superior foam can be found at hardware store (ArmaFlex foam rubber). Obviously not going to store a lot of acoustics and forget about exotic body shapes. Made in china.

Awesome Guitar Holder, Organizer for studio, home, holds 7 guitars and great customer service too!
Awesome Guitar Holder, setting up a new recording studio, nice Organizer for recording studio, home, office, etc., easily holds 7 guitars and great customer service too! Wow, this easily holds 7 guitars and with large ACOUSTIC GUITAR(s) too ! Easy to assemble, and when assembled correctly with parts, is very nice, sturdy enough to hold the guitars and actually does not take up a lot of room and fits nicely. Some hardware was missing and was sent promptly with customer service very good too. Finally got all parts hooked up and it is really nice.

Not perfect, but 5 stars at this price
I got the stand in the mail today, and had it put together within 30 minutes. The instructions aren't very clear, and the photos are almost no help...but if take the time to fit it all together before you tighten down any screws, you really can't go too far wrong.I almost didn't buy it because of the other negative reviews. I'm glad I went ahead and tried it.It isn't perfect...but it is about half the price of the next cheapest stand that can hold 7 guitars...and less than half the price of any others. Here's what I saw:- Easy to put together- sturdy- no writing on the padding- padding is thick, but may be fragile...I could imagine with rough or careless use, the padding tearing.- there are rubber or plastic covers for the feet. They seem kind of fragile, so don't drag it around on the floor (which would wear through or tear the covers). They will definitely keep it from scratching any hard surfaces.-I don't think much of the folding ability. I'd recommend they get rid of that function, because I think that the more you fold it, the greater chance you'll warp the frame.-Don't over-tighten the screws, because the frame metal will buckle inward. Won't affect the strength of the frame, but it probably isn't a good thing.-Holds 7 guitars and basses, as advertised. If it fails, within the next 2-3 years, I would go a step up to the more expensive one to replace it. If it lasts at least 3 years before it fails, I'd probably replace it with the same product.Bottom line: for the price, I have to give it 5 stars. It does exactly what it advertises, does what it is supposed to do, and seems like it will function just well as any other rack costing much more.

Great item, if you can put it together...
Bought this mostly for display and organization of my many guitars (the rack is full). It works like a rack, it looks like a rack. It's a guitar rack.Pros:-Sturdy. I keep it filled with guitars, and I haven't had a single problem.-Padded. The pads protect my guitars from scratches.-Technically, kind of, portable. You can fold it and pack it away, it just takes some maneuvering. But if you are used to taking down a drum set, it's really easy and quick.Cons:-Instructions may as well have been in Chinese. The barely readable instructions had me guessing on how to put it together. Thankfully I was right. (I think)If it wasn't for the instructions, it would be perfect. I don't drag it to and from shows, but it is always in use. I recommend it, just be ready for a logic puzzle when you go to put it together.

It does work, despite all the negative reviews...
I mainly bought this for use in our church so that we don't have to cart multiple guitar stands each week since we currently meet in a high school and have to unload every Sunday morning and then pack up everything after service. Like most peoples complaints here about the instructions to build the stand, they speak the truth. The piece of paper you get is indeed a photocopy of the original so all the pictures are blurry along with the written labeling of the parts. You can't identify what some of the pieces are because you can't read if it's the "right" or the "left" leg. If you are mechanical like me, you will be able to figure it out with some guess and check procedure. You can tell that it is definitely not from the U.S. because of the grammatical errors in the wordage of the instructions. "mount the arm like his with screw" and "finish the all assemly, dispay your stand like this." That is verbatim with the (sp) errors. hahaOver all, I am satisfied with this product because it does hold the guitars that we are using. It seems stable as long as you tighten the nuts firmly. it doesn't wobble or anything. It does smell like moth balls and I'm not sure what's up with that. It did stink up my apartment, but nothing a candle won't fix. If you have multiple guitars that you would like to be displayed out, it is not a bad stand. If anything changes, I will update this review because I've only had it for about a week so far.

Does what it says but watch out
I got this from my Fiance for Christmas...I spent countless hours looking at them, a lot of them just said the same things. "Won't hold exactly 7 guitars", "the directions suck", etc, etc. I agree with all of those to a degree. I have all 7 guitars on mine (3 acoustics, 2 electrics, a bass, and a banjo.)It works, I like it, it saves space and it looks nice. The padding is typical quality for a guitar stand. The only real complaints I have is one of the last screws you put in it was not lined up properly it is fine because their is another screw to hold the top piece in but really wasn't expecting that. the way it was shipped it looked like some one had returned it and they threw it in a box and shipping it (very possible)...finally my directions were just thrown in the box ripped and crumpled up. again it looks like it may have been a return. First time I have not been happy with amazon. But hey it does work at least.
