both teams gave excellent assistance in solving my dilemma
These appear to be well made fans.My only problem was in ordering a different manufacturers control.With different wiring than the fan the Canarm switch, which Amazon says is ‘frequently bought with this fan’ is a reseller’s marketing glitch.Stick with the control made by VES.In my inquiry’s to both manufacturer’s technical support numbers, both teams gave excellent assistance in solving my dilemma.Great product. Great service.I’d buy these fans and deal with these companies all day long if I could.

Perfect
OK, well this is the bomb. For the price you just cannot do better. I had my electrician install this in my garage that has a 12 ft ceiling. I work in the yard a lot and am in and out of the garage frequently. This fan is powerful and runs quietly. He installed the control on the wall. It is just exactly what I was looking for.

White variable speed Remote reversing Industrial ceiling fan
Killer fan !I put it into my new 500 Sq foot shop w a 12 ft ceiling. The old wall switch w reverse was why I ordered and paid more for this fan than the standard remote fan.I was pleasantly surprised to see it has a Infinite speed control rather than a 2 or 3 speed.Everything you need to install it correctly is in the box including the 18” downrod. Packing was very good( came in styrofoam box).

Great high powered fan!!
First of all, this is a very simple and very fantastic fan. I installed it on a covered patio replacing a piece of crap indoor fan that the previous owner installed. I had to use the ball mount on the old fan because this fan comes with a J hook mount. I did not purchase or use a control but just wired it directly to the existing wires. Using the switch on the wall simply turns it on to high which is all we want outside in the Florida heat. I would recommend this fan to anyone that wants an outdoor fan that really moves air and is very quiet!!

Overall Im good with purchase but a couple of issues
Looking for fan for a covered porch thats economical and high cfm. I liked this one and installed it and I don't feel like its 46000 cfm. Replaced a Global 6500 cfm and this thing feels like it blows 3x harder than that. My old fan had rusty steel blades. When I looked at this fan it didnt say blade material so after searching I ended up on VES website which says its celing fans feature aluminum painted blades which was perfect. I was actually sent this model number but with an S on the ended. Put a magnet on the blades and sure enough its painted steel. They sent IMDB604L - S. They said they dont make it aluminum blades. Little issue for me but using it anyway.

Great fan for the price.
Great fan. Appears to be stainless hardware. I like the poly blades. You don’t have to worry about them going limp noodle after a few years when in an outdoor climate, especially with the humidity of southern Louisiana. Well made in general.

Works great
If you are looking for and industrial out door fan this is the one for you. It is metal and heavy. It has a great switch with it. I had it installed under my metal gazebo on my deck.

good fan, had wrong switch
Great fan, balanced with no wobble and moves a large amount of air in a large shop. Unfortunately, the reverse switch does not work.
