Super Good
This is a very good game to add to my collection and the fact that it was still in the package is a super plus.

Good game, but as good as the first
I played through this game very quickly compared to the first. More weapons to play with and a little harder, but not nearly the game the first Ghost Recon was.

All Hail GRIT
First and for most...BEST GAME EVER for xbox live play. This game was so good on SO many levels. The single player campaign was fun...not insanely great, but fun...."ghost recon fun." This is one of those games that is truly addicting and, in its day, got plenty of Xbox Live play. This game was actually the reason I signed up for an Xbox Live account, and without it, who knows what I'd be playing today.Okay, so, in its time, this game had pretty good graphics. You look back at them now and they don't look too hot, but when it first came out it was awesome. Other than that, I think the best thing about this game was its multiplayer aspects. Not only were the maps great, but all the different modes of play were great. I remember when this game was popular, SO many people played it, and it was obvious why. Another great thing about this game is the fact that it is a very tactical shooter and not so run and gun like most FPS games out on the market today. Overall, this game is great and even today it stands up as a great shooter. If more people played on Live (well, any at all) I think I might find myself playing this game quite a bit!9.0 PresentationThis game was presented very well. The menus were very easy to use and were pretty clean cut and simple - GREAT! Doing things like joining games and checking friends list was never a hassle.8.0 GraphicsBack when this game came out, the graphics of this game were very good. I think if I were judging the graphics in todays world, I would score them pretty low, because, obviously, they don't stand up.7.0 SoundThe sound effects and music in the game were good. They seemed to fit the game and mood and were good in its time. Overall...pretty good!9.0 GameplayThis game played SO well and the fact that it stayed "tactical" makes it even better. I loved the gameplay over Xbox Live and its multiplayer aspects were fantastic.10 Lasting AppealIn its day, this game was played SO much that it definately had lasting appeal. I "over"played this game until the day GR2 came out (which wasn't that great) and finally Halo 2 took over my life!!!

Appaling...
I purchased this game to try out on my Xbox Live and I was almost angry at how dumb the game was. If you actually find somebody that plays this game online, it's still not any fun. I am not a follower of the Tom Clancy series (with the exception of Splinter Cell, Chaos Theory was awesome), and though I never tried the single player aspect, this game was a complete let-down. Do not waste your time and money on this game, I can't believe those people who rated this game higher than 2 stars...

This game was amazing. Im a big fan of the original ghost recon games with great combat, great levels, and great graphics. My only problem was how short it was. But other then that it was a great first person shooter.

Superb strategy game for the patient gamer
If you're a fan of the Ghost Recon series of games, the Island Thunder set brings your platoon-based gaming to a hostile Cuba of the future. There's the great graphics, where each of your friends and enemies look like real people, with proper movements and actions. Your environment is misty, rainy, soggy, with detailed trees and grass. You really feel like you're crawling up the road, watching for that enemy tower. The sound is also quite good. None of the rock-thumping rambo music here - you listen carefully for where your enemies could be hiding, and watch for signs that an ambush is being laid.Multiplayer is where this game shines best, though. An assortment of maps, campaign types and of course a wide variety of players means that the game will stay interesting long after you exhaust the built in missions. Downloadable new maps mean that the game can be fun pretty much forever!A warning to arcade-style button mashers - this isn't a game like Doom where you just hop in and blast away. If you try that, you'll be slain quickly and pretty disappointed. You have to learn how to work with your troops, how to approach silently, how to work out a strategy to take advantage of your strengths. This is a game that involves a lot of patience and coordination. In this game it's not the person with the fastest fingers who wins - it's the person who pays the most attention to what is going on, and plans accordingly.
