Received product with foul smell and taste when mixed with water.
Vivonex I received had an expiration date of 1 June 2019, but was bad. When mixed with water it had a very foul smell and taste. I have been taking Vivonex off and on for ten years and I know the difference between good Vivonex and bad Vivonex. Vivonex does not taste good by any standard of measure but it certainly shouldn't have a foul smell and taste.I have received bad product before but it was much closer to the expiration date than the seven months for this case. This product states that it is to be stored at ROOM TEMPERATURE, which is between 68 and 77 degrees. Vivonex goes bad by being stored in a non-air conditioned warehouse. Excess heat causes the amino acids in the Vivonex to break down, which causes the foul smell and taste.
