Daughter Loves It
My 9 year old loves these things. They’re overpriced but very “cool” and require some work (hand “wash” in water and blow dry), so at least it’s not just another stuffed animal.

My kid was happy and so I am, too. Ragtag kitty stuffy.
Yeah, it’s kind of a pain to get a good result. It’s not clearly marked on its tag (I consider this an issue. They should clearly warn folks) DO NOT PUT THIS IN THE DRYER. Those who have “matted fur” - that is probably why, it melts the polyester fibres and filling if you put it in the dryer. Or if you didn’t rinse the glue out well enough - a trip to the dryer would probably glue all the fur together permanently. Also, I think it needs submersed in warm water for quite a while to get all the glue out. I threw my kid in the tub with it - she normally takes decently length baths - so like 25 minutes - and she conditioned the stuffed animals fur with conditioner and brushed it out with the conditioner in its fur, then rinsed it really well. I only saw a tiny amount of fur get pulled out with his method. After the bath I towel dried the stuffed animal really well and then let my kid blow dry it on low heat for a while so she felt like she was contributing. She did it for maybe 5 minutes and then grew impatient so I blow dried it dry for what felt like ages on medium heat, careful not to stay in one spot too long and singe or melt any of the polyester. I’m pretty experienced at doing that - cause I do it all the time with my own shirts and leggings (I spill stuff on myself a lot and am too lazy to change clothes). Anyway, so I dried the stuffy. The end result is a little ragtag but it’s very soft, pretty fluffy, definitely not matted or flat, and clearly a kitty. Also, I trimmed the fur a tiny bit around its nose and eyes. It was almost too fluffy in its face.It isn’t quite as smooth or new stuffy feel and look as I imagined it would be. It’s also clearly sewn kind funkily in a few spots (tail, neck), I’m not used to being able to see seams like that, but its’ easy to cover up with the the fluffy fur. It’s also not really a toy most kids will have the patience to set up on their own. I mean, if they’re not impatient for the “end result” to happen right away, a good toweling off and then the stuffy could be air dried / hung dry overnight. It didn’t feel like it was boggy wet like some others have said. Don’t need to twist the stuffy — put a big towel down and fold it into fourths. Fold another big towel into fourths. Place stuffy on one of the towels, put the other towel on top, and press. Reposition the stuffy around on the bottom towel so it can squeeze as much moisture out as possible. Most of the moisture will come out this way. Ours was 85% dry when we started using the hair dryer on it. The ear material and middle fur was more porous and took longest to dry.Bottom line for me — Kid is happy. So, I am happy.

Gimmicky
Not much of a pet once you opened it up and soak it. More of a gimmick than a real stuffed animal toy and very pricey.

No! Just NO!
Is this a joke? $30?????? I can not believe this product! I have dolls from when I was a kid 30 years ago that look better than this! I am not happy about this product! Kids love the excitement of the “surprise” but then they pull the doll out and it looks like this! It defiantly does NOT look like the pictures provided. This is such a terrible product, in my opinion. It looks like a dried rundown rat! I want a doll that looks like the pictures provided! Do yourself a favor and skip right over this product! Unless you don’t care that it looks like it’s been through the ringer as a brand new doll then it’s great! I’m just shocked that a company would put a product out that looks like this and charge $30 for it. What is that doll even supposed to be? 😡
