Great for early reading!
These readers are great! They are the same ones my child uses at school. I bought these for the summer to prevent the summer slide and to maybe even increase a level. I found if we read these daily, commit to one for a week at a time, she was able to progress. She just finished Kinder and reads at a G!

Better reader
I purchased these books for my niece, after she told me that she didn’t like to read because she can’t read good. After I corrected her grammar and told her that she doesn’t read well😊. I started looking on AMZ . I ordered these books to read with her at night when she’s with me. After a couple of weeks, I can see that she’s feeling more comfortable and confident. I think she just needed the one on one time sounding out words and taking her time.

Great for early readers! Nice selection
I homeschool my daughter and these have really helped her read, they are easy to understand, they repeat small words so they start recognizing them and each box comes with a good variety of books. I think the price is reasonable and and I love the boxes they come in, it helps keep them organized. The books are light and not to big which makes them easy to travel with if needed

Help you choose the appropriate level for your reader
I have posted the F&P and lexile level charts for parents to have familiarity with the leveled readers, and to assist in choosing what level to try with your learner.I noticed most of my child's readers (that showed a level on the back) were level E, so I wanted to stretch her vocabulary and decoding skills just a little, while building confidence, too. I had purchased a level H reader (not knowing what it was, bc they all say Level 1), and I could tell it was harder but still enjoyable for her to read mostly on her own. I'm glad I found these G&H readers which look more engaging than the Bob books, which I think we are done with at this point, since working up to Level 3 word families, (plus we have the K+1 sight words combo box still to complete.)The box is okay for me to pull out and store books so she works through them methodically, but I would not necessarily give it to the child to carry, open themselves, and put away on their own, or the books / box will get damaged. Many of the stories are based on fairy tales, which is great (Pinocchio, Gingerbread Man, Ugly Duckling etc.). But I could do without the "space-mail" Martian storyline, or monsters. It's not a big deal; I guess we can just skip those if we want. The monster one is not a bad story about making friends with different types of people, but the space-mail thing and meeting an online penpal aspect creeps me out, tbh, in today's day and age. I will probably plop that one in the garbage if I find it inappropriate, and keep it moving.Apart from that one icky story, for my 4.5yo, I just wish they were all about animals. To me, that'd be a little bit sweeter.

Six Yr old Motivated & Challenged Self Reader
First Little Readers was recommended and used while my 5 year old was taking speech therapy at Children Specialized Hospital. Initially, purchased reading level C, the same used at the hospital to incorporate at home. The books are no more than 16 pages and allows the little reader to be challenged and motivated to read. Now little one is in second grade. Level G&H are different colors in this pack. Level G is yellow and level H are purple. These new levels my little one when I say time to read my 6 year old immediately grabs these books. The challenge is still there within this new level and same layout as previous level but more challenging words strategically placed throughout the story.
