Tremors 3: Back to Perfection

Great movie... and 4 is even FAR better!
Do NOT be like the uncultured people who gave one star. You MUST realize the importance of the 1st three: 1) Introduces the subs. 2) introduces an intermediate, and 3) well that introduces the final stage and tells you how it starts...Each one builds on the other. Now 4? I love four--it takes you back a hundred years or more...and tells you more. Then... well you might as well watch 5,6,and 7 after that! This entire series is great!.

I love this series!
What makes these films work is that they change the plot every time. The first one was a classic exercise in paranoia and isolation. The second one was more like an action film with lots of explosions and a small army of monsters. The third one was about animal rights and learning how to coexist with dangerous species. I admit I haven't seen the fourth movie or the TV series yet.I loved how the third movie wasn't afraid to make fun of the first. The minor characters got lots of names wrong and that made it more believeable that the main characters stopped maintaining their anti-graboid equipment. It's amazing how quickly people get back to normal after a disaster; I do it myself a lot, too. The names of the creatures are a lot of fun, except for 'Shrieker'. That one doesn't fit with 'Graboid' and 'Ass-Blaster'. Oh, well. I do wish the government drones had been more fleshed out. The last we heard from them they were trying to humbly ask Burt for help, and he just insulted them and stormed off. Maybe if he'd been willing to talk to them things wouldn't have gotten out of hand. I might be the only one to interpret that scene like that, though.

Supposedly the creators best, but just another sequel
When the creators of Tremors I and II decided that they wanted to make another Tremors movie they not only wanted to make a sequel, they wanted to make their best. The truth is that they could have done a lot better. Maybe it was the fact they wanted to keep it family oriented or they just didn't have the time or financial capabilities of making a successful sequel. One can depict from the start that a movie made for home video only can't be of outstanding performance; it has its gaps somewhere. It is worth buying though if you are a Tremors fan. Burt returns as the fully loaded armed and dangerous vigilante, which is what keeps this movie alive. The opening sequence makes the movie look great, but the new actors just screw up the whole plot as the movie proceeds. There are some positive notes that one can look forward to though such as: Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, trailers from all three Tremor movies, and some other DVD extras that liven up the film. Over all beware before buying this one. Don't be fooled by the cover; it is nothing like the others where Burt goes insane will all of his weaponry. Burt has the weapons, but just when one thinks that he is about to unload he doesn't. It must have been the low budget that the crew had to deal with that ruined the action. Also there are some errors in the film that one can catch if you look hard. There is one obvious error that I cannot believe it was released without anyone noticing was: on the trailer for Tremors 3 they put the names next to the picture of the actors, but Burt's name is misspelled as Bert!

Not Quite The Same
It's got the graboids. It's got gun-toting survivalist Burt. It even has the typical humor. Yet, it isn't quite the same as watching the first two Tremors. I've always been a fan of the first two, with my favorite character being Burt (Michael Gross), and I thought the movie would hold out when all of the focus is laid upon him. But, it's really amazing how much things change when Earl (Fred Ward) is removed from the mix. The missing chemistry is too much to bear and the plot seems to collapse on itself due to the unfamiliar, undeveloped characters that have been "thrown in" to fill out the story. The painfully obvious computer-generated creatures don't really help either. At this point you're probably wondering why I gave it ANY stars. Well, I do have a deep affection for this movie series, so I can't bring myself to completely hate it. Plus, Michael Gross' character, Burt, is always fun as heck to watch. With his overpowered weaponry and over-the-top survivalist attitude, the chuckles keep rolling in through the whole movie. The new creatures introduced in the movie are interesting as well, even if they are computer-generated in 85% of the shots. The bottom line: It's decent, but not up to the typical Tremors caliber. If you're a die-hard Tremors fan like myself, buy it to complete your collection...

Diehard fans only, casual fan should netflix it.
I'm a big fan of the "Tremors" series and tv show. If you are a fan of the show, and haven't watch this movie yet, it's a must watch. It explains a lot of the plot points from the tv show. If you are just a fan of the series, then this is still a enjoyable watch. Not a movie to watch on it's own, Go back and watch part 1 and 2 first to get the most out of this movie. It's not the best of the series, but still good enough to watch. More for a netflix view, but diehard fans a must own. This also the first time ever this movie has come out with a spanish language track. All of the other films have a spanish language track except for this one, until now.

It’s a Tremors movie, you know you’ll like it.
It’s an awful movie, but that’s how all of the Tremors movies are.You go in expecting all the silly over-the-top bits of nonsense. That’s exactly what makes these movies so amazing. It’s not a Tremors movie if you aren’t rolling your eyes at something every now and then or witnessing an unnecessary amount of monster chunks exploding all over the cast.I will always recommend these movies to my friends.

Wow! Mindy grew up! And that guy from US daytime soap opera Days of our Lives appears. Ass-blasters!
A Kevin Bacon/Fred Ward less second sequel which brings back four of the original cast members from the first film and delivers a frequently good film. Michael Gross, the franchise mainstay, hams up the screen to great effect. And speaking of effect the sfx here is fairly decent for a direct to DVD film. Add to that an appealing threeway hero group and you hot yourself a fine comedy actioner. Whilst falling SHY of the original this sequel is well worth a watch just to see Ariana Richards from jurassic park. Also watch out for subtle, and not so, references to Tremors.

Good Sequel To Tremors
If you haven't seen Tremors, then you shouldn't watch this first. But, if you've seen Tremors and enjoyed it, then this is a good sequel. It continues the mix of B-movie style, witty one-liners, over the top characters, and scary monsters.Like Tremors 2, Tremors 3 unveils more of the life cycle of the worms, adding to the problems faced by mere humans. There's the usual mix of slightly incompetent characters, gun nuts with massive collections of firepower, and rough diamonds who save the day. This is classic B-movie stuff and worth an evening's viewing with pizza and pretzels.

Tremors 3 - Back to perfection
Loved it. Tongue in cheek humour from start to finish. Story line was predictable at first but then throws another of the sseries famous curve balls. I laughed and found myself enthralled even knowing the characters would prevail it was how they were going to do it that keeps one watching.
