Trial by fire - by accident.
I am partial to Schwalbe tires and for good reason - they are made of superior materials and I have never had a failure with them - even going coast to coast. This was my first set of Pro One with Vector Guard tires (700 - 28, tube type). I put them on and gave them a quick test ride. All went well so I headed out for a real ride. While trying to read my speedometer, I ran off the pavement in the dark and into the dirt. My first thought was Goat's Heads! My second thought was kissing gravel with my face at speed. I managed to power and hop my way back onto the pavement and found my tires fully covered in dirt, bits of small rock, and ALLOT of tiny stickers (no Goat's Heads seen). I ran my shoes across the spinning tires and dislodged the masses of debris. I then ran my hands and felt for the remaining bits of debris. Afterwards, I headed straight home cause I knew a flat was coming. A week later and several rides later, the tires still held air. I could not believe it. Protection PROVEN.They are super smooth, quiet, very sticky, and corner well too. My loyalty to Schwalbe is for good reason. I have them on ten bikes now - touring, cargo, recreational road, mountain and super light road (not all mine, I buy them for my family members too for their safety).

Solid, but will make you miss the Ultremo ZX
A high quality tire, but less lively than the Ultremo ZX it replaced. Out of the box, one of the tires had a lot of excess rubber on the centerline. No performance issues, but not the best QC. Whereas the Ultremo was easy to mount, these tires need strong thumbs and levers to get in place. Road feel and grip are good and so far, puncture free. Overall recommended and should be considered by anyone looking for a racy, but durable, all-arounder.

I'll probably never buy a different tire again.
After using Panaracers, Contis, Michelin, and these Schwalbes, I'll never buy anything else. These tires are awesome. As others have noted, they ride so smooth, that I sometimes think they have a leak. However, after 8 hours in the saddle on 23s, this is more of a pro than a con, and I think I'll eventually get used to it. They ride fast, they grip well, and they are easy to mount. After several hundred miles of riding in the shoulder of some rural highways (so full of glass, thorns, and other sharp stuff) they look great and I've had zero flats. While I'm not one to believe that changing (similar) tires can really have much of a performance impact, my strava stats have improved slightly since mounting these. Likely due to increased training, but worth noting I suppose. I expect to get about 2000 miles out of these given my usual riding conditions and the current visible wear.

SCHWALBE One Folding Tire with Black Vector Guard
I've mainly used Continental Gatorskins because I hate flats and I ride on a lot of poor-quality backroads, which lead to flats... The two main problems I have with Gatorskins is that they are nearly impossible to install on my particular wheels and they are not particularly fast-rolling. That being the case, I tried these Schwalbe Ones with V-Guard. Comparatively, the Schwalbe's are easier to install, faster-rolling, and pretty durable.I do a ton of climbing and ride full-speed and somewhat aggressively on the descents. That, along with lots of not-so-good roads means I go through tires relatively quickly. I just replaced the rear at just over 1,800 miles, which is about average for me. The rear tire has many tiny cuts, some of which now show thread, so it was time. The front tire still has traces of the molding mark down the center of the tread, so it has many more miles to go. The downside is they do not have any wear gauge like the two dimple indents that Gatorskins do - that is a big plus for the Gators.I did not have a flat due to road debris or goatheads, though it is not yet the season for them. Bottom line: they live up to the billing as being puncture resistant and durable. I think that the Gatorskins are a bit more durable, but these do an admirable job and they certainly are much faster and corner great. I've only used them this once, so I can't completely contrast longevity, however, I will be riding on these again.

Fast and puncture resistant
I'm a big fan of Schwalbe tires but I was very disappointed with their Ultremo tires. They started peeling off, threads pulling off and I had to toss them after less than one season in fear that they will pop. But they were fast and comfortable while being decently puncture-proof.Then I had Durano. Buletrproof but slow and not very comfortable, but being 23s that might have been part of the problem. So this are supposed to be the pinnacle of "fast", "comfortable" and "puncture-resistant" as I understand. So far only about 300 miles and no punctures and I can say that they are supple and comfortable. I try not to ride this bike in the rain so I can't comment on traction in wet conditions. They look pretty nice too.UPDATE: So they lasted about 5 months. Taking off two stars for this. Somewhat disappointing. My tires usually last an entire season, until Winter. Front tire had a sidewall blowout. Looks like there was a cut and the tire popped. The rear tire worn out badly from skidding three times! They don't seem to be the revelation Schwalbe claims them to be. They are very fast and very comfortable but they have worn out too quickly. I didn't have any flats during those 5 months though. But also, this was my first blowout ever. I will go back to Duranos for now then research some more. Needless to say I will not get another pair of One tires. And yes, the lettering fades out quickly and looks rather ugly. Two disappointing Schwlabe tires in two years, first Ultremo now this. Their touring tires are pretty awesome but I may need to look elsewhere for road tires.

perfekter reifen

Después de 800km no he tenido ningún pinchazo.

Belle e veloci

Ho solo effettuato 200km in misto , pianura/ discesa.
