Not only did this arrive to the NW Highlands in less than 24 hours after ordering, I plugged into into my laptop USB-C port, connected the ethernet cable from the home hub, and instant connection. The only reason I purchased this was due to a lightning strike power surge that blew the ethernet port on the laptop, and although I can connect via wi-fi, it's not as good a signal. I am now getting the same signal strength as if the ethernet cable was connected directly to the ethernet port, so very pleased indeed; and purchased at a very reasonable price.

Perfect, saved in-laws buying a new laptop because their one inside had broken. Just plugged it in and worked perfectly. They are very happy and saved them £500 in new laptop.

I'm delighted with this adapter. I can watch HD material with virtually no buffering.My partner and I own a Wimius projector which can act as a UPnP/DLNA renderer (even though the manual doesn't mention that fact). I can therefore use BubbleUPnP on my phone to stream HD movies straight from a NAS drive. The only downside is that our Wi-Fi is a bit hit-and-miss. Fast action sequences soon brought things to a grinding halt as the bitrate shot up. On other occasions films kept pausing/buffering every few seconds no matter what was going on in the scene.What I really needed was a wired connection to the router, but the projector had no Ethernet port; only USB (for flash drives) and HDMI.A while ago, acting on a hunch, I tried a USB/Ethernet adapter that I use for my job. To my amazement, the projector appeared as a wired connection and I could stream movies with no problems. Wasting no time, I ordered a Benfei adapter. It arrived (complete with driver CD) and illuminated when connected up... but didn't work.After a some head-scratching and research it dawned on me that maybe I needed a driverless adapter. The adapter from my job was a Trendnet TU2-ET100 which, I discovered, used an Asix AX7788C chip. The only Trendnet adapters I could find were either an unreasonable price or second hand, which was off-putting.I then realised that Nintendo Switch users face a similar problem and these Asix-based adapters are ideal. I still couldn't be sure it would work, but it does. Streaming works well and even complicated shots with lots of movement seem to cause no problems.This is reasonably priced anyway but, for me, it's worth every penny!

bought this product for my laptop cause my accommodation wifi works like a rock. I received it hoping it would be plug and play and then smooth sailing but unfortunately it didnt work.I emailed them and a response was sent back just like that. It works well on our computer and worked just plugging it in, not needed any drivers. We have a dell wyse with Linux on it and the Ethernet port stopped working, so we plugged it in to a usb 3.0 port and it worked well, gives gigabit speeds.

Excelente producto, lo use para mi tv, actualmente todas las tvs están topadas a recibir 100 megas de velocidad atraves de cable ethernet y con este adaptador de uni me da el total que tengo contratado a través de ethernet. ahora recibo los 500 megas que tengo contratados y solo tienes que conectarlo y a las entrada de tu tv, solo debes tener en tu tv la entrada de usb 3.0 y la identificas por que la entrada es color azul, si tu tv no tiene esa entrada disponible, no te va a funcionar.Además el producto es de excelente calidad, muy bien armado y de buena calidad de materiales,por eso le doy 5 estrellitas.
