At 1st, I was a bit skeptical of the design which looks conducive to curling not straightening BUT I was pleasantly surprised at how much better this design is for straightening AS WELL AS curling! I've used it 3 times now to straighten since getting it and messed with it for curling once. I don't use it daily. I have a chin length angled bob, normal to dry over processed (dye and heat tools) medium thickness hair with lots of natural curl that a blow dryer alone can straighten pretty well so only need help with the stubborn areas or next day when I don't wash it to smooth out the bedhead.PROS: design is great, locking temperature REALLY great, I love the textured flat tips to hold plates together in a cool area, comes with safety glove, nice velour storage bag and a couple of clips (that have an extra fold over piece I have no idea how to use!), it gets hot really fast, I don't need to put it on higher temps to get results like other brands where I'm at max temps this one I'm at about 370°F. Easy to use. Locks closed when ready to store. Curls and straightens well. Display turns green when ready. Keeps flashing when off but still plugged in which reminds you to unplug it. Has clear instructions.CONS: the barrel gets really hot which I assume is for the curling feature so wear the glove provided if using at higher temps! Start lower than you think you will need and gradually increase if necessary!Really happy so far. Hope I get longevity with this tool.

Just received this morning. Packaging was surprisingly "high end" - sturdy pink pretty box, 2 good styling clips with grips, a protective heat glove (which I never use). Very easy to use and send like a big upgrade from the Remington tool I've been using that just died recently. Appreciate the locking mechanism that keeps me from accidentally shutting it off while using it and it hearlts up much quicker than my older flat iron. I still can't quite get the hang of using it as a curling wand, but it works beautifully as a flat iron and makes my Mayfair want and slightly frizzy hair sleek, smooth, and shiny.

I do love the results of the curls. It heats up nice, I like that there's a lock button so you can't accidentally turn it off or change the temperature, and the plates are nice and smooth. However, the design has a couple of flaws.As mentioned in other reviews, in order to hold it tight you have to push on the buttons. If you hold it lower to avoid the buttons, it doesn't tighten very well so you're hair falls out and you can pinch your finger in the hinge. If you're holding it with both hands, one on the base and the other at the tip, if you let go of the base the tip only holds the tip closed so your hair will fall out if you let go of the base. Why not just use a barrel you ask? Because there are days that I like to straighten my hair and I don't have a lot of space for a bunch of different tools. That's what I really loved about this, two in one, perfect!I gave this one a lot of time before I made my decision to return it because I really do love it but if I'm in a hurry I don't have time to worry about if I'm holding it tight enough, dropping it, repeating curls because my hair fell out or if I'm going to get pinched. This was just a frustration thing for me. I'm not discouraging anybody to give it a try because it really is an amazing tool and it works perfectly to straighten but if you want curls, it's a little bit more of a struggle.

This is a beautiful iron. I love the colors and the price is right! I thought the curved design would be a fun twist on a regular iron and maybe help create perfect curls. I used the iron only once today and found it frustrating. It’s unavoidable to press the buttons while straightening or curling. That’s a huge frustration. It certainly smoothed my hair but it pulled my hair while I was straightening it and i could hear it kind of snagging along. It didn’t pull out huge clumps of hair but certainly a few strands were lost. I wanted to love this because the design is so unique and the colors so pretty. Plus it comes with a nice clip set, a carrying case and a glove, neatly packed in a pretty box. If I had the extra money I would probably keep this and play around with it more but I’m in the market for an everyday tool and can only budget for one. I’m going to return this and use the funds to purchase a hot tools.

Have used this 3 times now since receiving a few days ago. I really like the plastic-type coating on the plates which really helps to smoothly pull straightener down a length of hair. I also like the recessed, textured ends that makes it easier to hold the flat iron plates together on your hair and helps cut back on any heat issues to your fingers.I'm not totally sure the ionic generator feature is making a difference to my hair vs my previous flat iron that didn't have that, but it does seem there is a different sort of silkiness to my hair after straigtening. So I will assume the ionic generator is not hype, but an added benefit.I haven't tried giving a soft wave to my somewhat short hair yet, which as others have posted will likely take a little practice, but am very pleased to find that staightening my hair is no issue and very easy with these twisted plates.**POWER LOCK Temperature Feature: Be aware that the instruction pamphlet is missing a VERY important piece of advice - that being the power lock temperature feature and how it gets automatically locked to the temp you've set after a few seconds and how to unlock it to change the temp. Fortunately there is an answer to this issue in the "ask a question" section on the product page which helped me figure out why the temp wouldn't change after having turned it on to heat up.

I am not sure why the one star from some for this straightener. Just got it and I’m in love!! Easy to use. Nice that you get a glove and 2 clips. Nice and thin and light and the grip tool clip is a great idea! The 350 works perfect. I have long thick curly hair and it was smooth and straight within 10 minutes!! Finally a product I’m super happy about. Can’t wait to try curling it.

Su presentación es bonita y elegante, trae su funda para guardar, un guante para proteger tu mano del calor y unas pinzas para organizar el cabello por mechones, a diferencia de otras planchas curvas para definir ondas esta no trae los dientes de los laterales de las placas lo cual evita jalones o q se troce el cabello, define ondas de una manera fácil y duradera ya q duran todo el día!!! peeeero aquí no la recomiendo para uso diario ya q maltrata tu cabello aún usando protector para calor sin embargo para usar una vez por semana para esas ocasiones especiales q quieres lucir unas ondas perfectas es ideal.

Piastra fantastica! Molto buona per fare le onde, vengono bene e tengono parecchi giorni (fino a una settimana). Per i capelli lisci invece, è sufficiente ma non ottima resa.

Producto sencillo, d buena calidad, pero mejor ver tutorial

Es ist handlich, heizt sehr schnell auf. Durch die Temperaturreglung, ein absoluter Favorit.Dadurch werden die Haare geschont, je nach Beschaffenheit. Weil ich eine dünne Haarstruktur habe,werden die Haare auch mit geringer Temperatur glatt. Für mich eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
