The seas get rougher and competition gets tougher in season two of National Geographic's hit series, Wicked Tuna. Fishing is a hard life, and harder with bluefin stocks depleted. In Gloucester, Massachusetts, there's a special breed of fishermen. For generations they've used rod and reel to catch the elusive bluefin tuna. They depend on these fish for their livelihood, and the competition is brutal. Wicked Tuna follows the most skilled fishermen as they set out in the frigid waters of the North Atlantic in hopes of catching the valuable bluefin tuna. When one bluefin can bring in as much as $20,000 they'll do whatever it takes to hook up.

Fun to Watch
Enjoy watching this show as it does let the viewer know how hard it is to catch blue fin tuna. All the fishermen are great characters except when they try to act, their personalities are enough for show, the acting out doesn't help the show. The disappointing aspect of this series is that the tuna is not priced at the dock by a guy in a truck. The fish are boxed and shipped to market where they are sold at auction. The fisherman receives the balance of the auction payment after all expenses and commissions including boxing and shipping expenses. It would be nice to know what the tuna actually sell for at auction, okay, perhaps not every single one but after the show is over, a comparison between what is estimated by the guy at the dock and actual money the fisherman makes on a tuna would be nice addition.

Great Fishing
I enjoying watching all the seasons of Wicked Tuna and wife enjoys watching it with me, perhaps if we were a 3rd of the age we are now, I could see us giving it a try, but it's safer for us to watch the show and enjoy.

Fishing Vicariously for Blue Fin Tuna on Wicked Tuna
Love this show! I am vicariously Blue Fin Tuna fishing with every episode I watch. No fish I can catch will ever compare to what these professional tuna fisherman catch, but I can still fantasize. If I had the money I would pay to get just one day on board the Pinwheel or Hard Merchandise or Hot Tuna. Those are my favorite boats with my favorite Captains in the Gloucester episodes.

If you like deadliest catch or that variant of show
It is hard. On the one hand, tuna over fishing is a serious concern, which makes watching the show feel guilty. On the other, there is certainly a visceral reaction to seeing a 1,000 pound fish get pulled onto a boat that is hard to beat. If you like deadliest catch or that variant of show, you'll love Wicked Tuna.

My husband and I truly enjoy watching this series
Love the people in the show; I’d order more seasons but unfortunately seasons 6,7, and 8 are a bit pricey for people of our age that are on a fixed income. Maybe they’ll drop in price. 🤔

Slow mo and Freeze Frame
Love this DVD set. I bought it to be able to put in slow mo and freeze frame to see the gear and other stuff. Also to rerun parts to learn how to tuna fish. Now I qualify as a gogan and can go fishing and make a bunch of dumb mistakes for those guys to complaiin about. Maybe if my mistake is dumb enough I will get on TV!

Action packed and entertaining
I enjoyed this DVD which is full of action and also reflects the dedication of these fishermen who often have to accept the reality of unfavourable weather and the power of some of these massive fish. It is reassuring to see that sustainable fishing practice was followed
