So far so good!
I recently purchased the Weber E-470 after much research. Price wise Amazon had the best deal.Unpacking and assembly was fairly easy. Once you remove the strapping and outer box, the grill has a note taped to the grill hood showing how to remove grill from it's molded plastic shipping crate. They recommend 3 people, 2 to lift and one to remove the plastic crate. My wife and I were able to do this just us 2, but if availabe I would recommend 3 people because you run the risk of back injury, or damaging the wheels on grill if you lift it up and then sit it back down. The crate has molded sections to hold the wheels in a certain position. I can see where you could possibly damage the locks on the front wheels if you pick it up, then sit back down on crate in wrong position. The shipping weight is listed at 250 lbs, but we were able to move on and off trailer and into garage with a hand truck with no problem.Assembly......Directions were simple and clear with good pictures (pictures always help). Complete assembly took about 1 hour 15 minutes. No issues with assembly.2 problems I had.......First the left door is warped just alittle. The directions show how to adjust the doors, which I did and it did help some. The door is simply warped some. I may contact Weber about a replacement, I haven't decided yet. Many reviews rave about Webers customer service so I'm not too worried about it.Second, the rotisserie storage compartment pivot hinge pin was not properly installed from the factory. Had to remove and reinstall as they missed one of the holes and the unit would not lift up and down properly. Easy fix.Cooking. I'm very impressed with the grill so far. It's nice to be able to control temperatures with percision. The lighted knobs are much brighter than I expected, and the handle mounted grill light is plenty bright enough to see the cooking area. Some other reviews I've read were saying the light didn't put out enough, but I'm satisfied with it so far.I would recommend cleaning the hood and trim from finger prints, smudges and tape glue before lighting the grill and "baking" them to the surface. The grill was easy to light the first time and got up to 550 in about 8 minutes with not problem. While still hot I took a damp terry cloth and using tongs cleaned the cooking grids before using the first time and got some black residue off which I expected."Update" regular 409 works great on the hood and in general.Overall I'm very impressed with the construction, features and quality of the grill. I like the built-in smoke box and dedicated burner as I frequently use wood chips for grilling. SIde burner is easy to light and works well. Left side shelf is large, and tool hangers (6) on the front are handy. Locking wheels are a must feature since this grill is heavy.Cabinet storage is spacious and the built-in rotisserie storage for hooks and spit is a nice touch. Gas tank level indicator works great.I hope this review helps you in your grill purchase. I certainly appreciate and found useful all the reviews I've read about Weber grills, pros and cons.

Phenomenal Grill!!!!!
I normally do not write reviews, as either I enjoy the product and do not take the time or the product was o.k. to sub-par and choose to work it out with the vendor if I have to. That being said, this grill is AMAZING! First off, once I set the temp I can forget it for indirect cooking. I have great temperature control and can get the high heat I need for searing steaks as well as slow and low if I choose to slow roast (although I do have a smoker for this). The grill has plenty of usable grilling area and the smoker box does well for a quick hit of smoke for steaks, chicken, fish, and kabobs. The grill rotisserie motor does it's job and spit roasting is a breeze! Because all of the important grill parts are stainless steel, cleaning the grill is a snap as well. I usually just get it to 550 degrees and brush the grates, but every 2 weeks clean the drip tray, and thoroughly clean the interior and exterior. When cleaning I almost feel as if I wouldn't have to clean the grill and it would still last at least through the 10 year warranty. The side burner works as expected....not over or underwhelmed by it, and there is ample storage for grilling accessories. This is my first Weber, and plan on adding another for a secondary outdoor kitchen. Worth the money, every cent. I would buy 500-600 grills and have to replace after 4-5 years. This one, I do not anticipate replacing in 20 if at all. I have included some dishes I or my wife have already made using this grill.

Weber summit is a great grill,,,,but,,,,
Finally bit the bullet and bought a Weber Gas grill. Overall totally impressed with this grill and the features, such as smoker/burner, Sear burner and the cool pop up rotisserie motor, heavy stainless steel grates, lighted dials etc. Heats up very quickly, starts easy, good fit and finish all around. Assembly was minimal and intstructions were fine. BUT, was somewhat disappointed that the lid construction is not the solid cast steel as on the smaller "Genesis" model. This model lid appears to have two layers of formed sheet metal with the porcelain coating on the exterior. When the temp heats up and contracts, this lid actually makes poping sounds, not a big deal, but, for the $$ I expected the solid heavy lid construction.
