"Preserved Flower", also known under different names such as "immortalized flower" and "naturalized flower", was introduced in France in 1991. Preserved flowers and foliage are natural flowers and greens that have been processed with a revolutionary technology to maintain their fresh appearance for several months or even years. Their beauty and soft delicate appearance makes it difficult to differentiate between cut flowers and the fresh look of our products. The substances used in the preservation process are non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-carcinogenic, non-explosive and non-chemical reactive. The solutions and colorants are the same as those used in food, medical and textile manufacturing; there for, they do not represent any health or environmental risk. The flowers are then preserved when they are at the most beautiful moment. They are absolutely the real flowers! The only difference between preserved flowers and fresh flowers is that you don't need to plant or water them while they can last for years. Preserved flowers and foliage are real plants. In order to protect their beauty and charm, some precautionary measures should be taken: -Keep away from humidity, in a dry place, do not add water. -Avoiding exposure to direct sunlight to prevent premature fading. -Keep away from clothes or any fabrics that may be stained easily. -Exposure to damp or humidity can cause the products to "leech" colour, when the dampness in the air mixes with the glycerine used in the preservation process. The liquid can be removed carefully with a dry cloth. If the liquid falls onto other surfaces and staining occurs, it can be removed by cleaning the surface with a damp cloth.
