Glam Seamless Double Sided Tape for Hair Extensions, Replacement Tape for Tape in Hair Extensions - 60 Tabs Pack

I have babe tape in extensions and have used babe tapes with it as well as hot heads. In the last year or so, the babe tapes would slide off and same would the hotheads tapes.. the hair stylist putting them in is licensed so I knew it wasn’t the application. I figured I would try another brand because I literally was having to put extensions back in almost two weeks after application. I decided on these glam seamless. Oh my god. I’m so happy I tried them. Not only are they cheaper but the tape is so strong. I haven’t had any extensions slide off . I couldn’t be happier.

The adhesion on these tapes were not very good. They kept coming undone and my extensions were falling out. Very disappointed!

I’ve used these multiple times! They hold well but also come off well (when needed)

I have been using tape in extensions for a few years, exclusively the glam seamless brand. The hair itself is amazing, The tape not so much.When I first started using glam seamless I was happy with the tape, it had a strong secure hold and I would get a full 8 weeks out of it, the last 6 months have been a different story. the initial install wasn’t feeling as secure, I was getting slipping and down right falling out while brushing and washing the hair was an absolute nightmare, not to mention the relentless scalp itch I would get within 24 hours of install. I install myself but have been taught by a friend who is an extension specialist (she lives/works 3 hours away, I’m a mother of 5, a 6 hour round trip drive plus salon time isn’t going to happen).At first I thought it was user error, I’m human, mistakes happen. I took the remaining tapes out and was left with a sticky mess in my hair, it took me HOURS to get it all out, and that was with their brand remover. I ended up slathering my hair in raw coconut oil and letting it sit with a shower cap for close to 4 hours to get it all out. I washed my hair with clarifying shampoo three times in the next two days to make sure all the coconut oil was out of my hair before I attempted another install. I blew my hair dry and then straightened it like always and got started. SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN.I called my friend absolutely frustrated and bribed her with wine and pizza to make the drive to me so she could install them, completely convinced the problem was me. A few days later the Calvary arrived, my hair was installed, all was right with the world........NOTTwo days later......TWO DAYS! I was brushing my hair and 5 of the sandwiches completely came out. I text the picture to my friend with this guy 😭 because the frustration is real y’all. She came down THAT NIGHT and she took them out, prepped my hair with HER products and reinstalled them again, this time using a low temp flat iron (set at 250) to “seal” the sandwiches to my hair. This actually helped......slightly. I didn’t have any slippage while brushing my hair, but when I went to wash my hair 4 days after install, more than half of them came out, again leaving me with a sticky mess in my hair. I was done. I put the extensions away and rocked my short hair.Fast forward a hand full of months and it’s getting close to Halloween, and I want to be a mermaid......which means I need my extensions back. I had run through my stock pile back when hairmageddon had happened so I had to order more. I got the new tape in the mail and sat down to install my hair, this was two days before Halloween. All the same things plagued me again. I was determined to have this hair for Halloween so I babied the hell out of it, and still lost 3 sandwiches, it was okay though because I could still make it work......the day after Halloween I needed to wash my hair, guess what happened? THEY ALL FELL OUT!!!!! Beyond frustrated I went on the search for a new tape. I found a new tape and new tape is AMAZING! it hold a million times better, AND you get six times the amount of tape for only a few dollars more.Now before you ask, the brand tape my friend uses is some pro brand that me as a hair civilian doesn’t have access to, yes I could get it through her but that ISH is $30 a pack.......and it would take 1 1/2 packs to do a full install 😳 Again......5 kids......not happening.The moral of the story kids, DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME, MONEY OR ENERGY on these tapes. I mean unless you enjoy torturing yourself and want to endure endless amounts frustration, then you do you boo.

I’m hoping this tape will hold up better than the brand my stylist used last time ! I ordered this tape because it’s the same brand as my extensions so I’m hopeful it will ;) 🤞🏻
