Will fall apart eventually
Time of ownership: 2 years, 5 monthsIt has been top-shelf dishwasher safe and it's cheap and effective. But after about a year and 3 months and chip of plastic in the housing came off. This caused the plastic guard and one of the four rows of prongs to come off with it. It was still usable with 12 prongs instead of 16 and no guard. Today a second row of prongs came off and I have only two rows of prongs, or 8 prongs left. It did last me over two years and was only $5 but I'd rather get a sturdy one that may cost more money next time.

It's an excellent device for meat preparation
In the past I used a fork to help tenderize my steaks before grilling. Now I use the Idani Tenderizer. It's an excellent device for meat preparation.

Great Value - Works well
I was a little skeptical that this would work as good as the other reviews so I was pleasantly surprised by the ease to use and clean. I am used to the hammer type but this design was recommended by a recipe for chicken fried steak. I have never made it before and was concerned the beef would be tender. Well suffice to say it worked beautifully. Highly recommend it for the price. Great value.

Great for the price
I love it! Great for the price. 4 stars because part of the plastic cracked about the 5th or 6th time I used it, but it's still usable. Again...for the price it's awesome

It works as expected. Be careful not to over tenderize, though. I made that mistake with my first steak and basically ended up eating hamburger.
