I love this pan. I've never been let down by any of the Onyx pans from this Techef brand
I have several of the pans from this collection. When i saw this one i JUMPED on it. I love making seafood Paella and i thought that this pan would be perfect for that. Turns out i was right. This is why:Pros:** Non stick - When making paella you never want the rice to be mushy. What you do want is for the rice to caramelize and roast a little (socarrat) on the bottom. The nonstick coating on this pan is perfect because it lets it caramelize but it also releases easily. No scrubbing or scouring needed when it comes time to clean up.** Depth - This pan is just shallow enough to make the rice cook evenly. The depth also produces an intense and evenly distributed flavor.** Handles - The double handles make this pan easy to handle while cooking. I'm able to hold the pan with two hands while moving it to the table. It makes it more stable and safer. I also like the fact that the handles stay cool even after cooking for a while.** Lid - Even though i don't use the lid while cooking paella, It does come in handy after serving. I can put the lid on to keep it warm or keep flies off when eating outdoors. It's sturdy and feels really well made.** Easy to clean - The teflon makes it a breeze when cleaning. I can literally just wipe it with a paper towel and it looks good as new. A little bit of soapy water and a rinse and you're done.** Versatile - Even though i mainly use it for making paella, i also use it for much more. It's awesome for making pancakes, eggs, grilled cheese... you get the idea. :)Cons:Traditionally you're supposed to make paella over an open flame. There's no way I'm ever going to use it that way. I'm sure that this pan can take it but it's way too pretty to put it through that. I strictly have to use it on my stove.Verdict:I love this pan. I've never been let down by any of the Onyx pans from this Techef brand. The all look so nice and are way more expensive looking than they are. They look high end and professional. Keep up the good work Techef.

Better than expected
This is a perfect size. Although it does not come or is made with a lid, it's very well made. Non stick, handle is very sturdy, can be used for a variety of different recipes, very versatile. It is easy to clean and the weight of this, is obviously because of how well it is made. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

A substantial, high-function product that will serve you for years to come.
I have a full array of tri-ply pots and pans but have been returning to teflon cookware due to my excellent experiences with TECHEF's products - their even heat distribution and ease of cleaning are unmatched. I had previously purchased two 12" TECHEF teflon frying pans with great experiences but sometimes they were a bit large for the preparation of smaller portions. I compared Amazon's current offerings and found many great competitors with excellent product qualities to consider, but none were the combination of all qualities that TECHEF's frying pans are. This pan is dishwasher safe, uses a solid feeling riveted metal handle, and has incredible non-stick coating. Most importantly, the TECHEF Onyx collection (and really their entire product line from personal experience) have a substantial feel to them, with this 8-inch frying pan weighing in at 1 pound 5 ounces. The handle is metal (not plastic), riveted onto the body. The underside conducts heat evenly and rapidly from my gas burners. I've found TECHEF's teflon coating to be unmatched with extremely easy cleanup after having had some time to cool post-cooking.I have no criticisms of this pan but if I was pressed to find fault perhaps inclusion of a lid would have been nice or a contoured pour on the side. I do have plenty of lids that work with this fine piece of cookware. You'll be able to tell from my quick photos that this is a quality product with a contemporary designed yet highly functional. It's my suggestion that you overlook the similar products in the sub-$20 range because while they may be adequate, they won't offer the lifespan of use or refinement of TECHEF's products. All things considered, I am extremely happy with my purchase and plan for more in the very near future.

Great Pan!
I was hesitant to order this pan as I had never heard of this brand before. I like to stick with things I am familiar with. But after reading reviews and doing research, I decided to go ahead and order this. I ordered this as an everyday pan to replace one of my two everyday pans I use. I had a Cuisinart brand pan was warping and uneven after a very short period of use. My other everyday pan that I still use is a Calphalon brand.Upon receiving this I was very pleased with the packaging. It was nicely wrapped in a perfectly sized box. After opening the box, my first impression was that it seemed well made and of very nice quality.I have used it several times and I am pleased with it. I have used it for eggs, fried dumplings, and frying several batches of breaded rock fish for fish tacos. It is very easy to clean and distributes the heat evenly. I find that it takes a little time to heat up, but I feel like this might be because it is evenly distributing the heat. I was still able to touch the handles after frying up 3 batches of fish. They were warm, but still touchable.Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. I do not think it is quite as nice as my Calphalon pan, but I have owned Caphalon pots and pans for years and I am very partial to them. It is very comparable though and has a feature the Calphalon does not. The handles on my Calphalon get very hot and untouchable very quickly, and the TechChef does not.I may purchase this brand in other sizes as well! :)

I like it...
BUT, the square pan needs a lid. It's great for rolled omelettes. The angled end is very useful. When using it for folded omelettes, it cooks much better when covered with foil--where a clear lid would be ideal. Add a clear lid and this would be 6-stars.

Die Koreaner können's einfach
Total geniales Teil. Funktioniert besser, als alles, was wir bisher hatten. Wir kaufen unsere Pfannen und Töpfe ab jetzt nur noch von TECHEF. Haben uns auch die Grillplatte von TECHEF gekauft und die ist genauso spitze.

Happy with the purchase
Have been using non stick pans on induction cooker for quite some years but the induction plates stuck to the bottom of the cookware would come off in places and the pan would lose its balance. This pan says it’s hevi base and comes with a lifetime warranty,so decided to give it a try.The experience has been so far good .Will certainly post an updated review in case of any problem.
