Noah Webster's Advice to the Young and Moral Catechism Paperback – October 1, 1993

This came highly recommended by a friend who is in the military. He has spent years studying History so that he can teach when he retires. To sit and speak with this man would just blow your mind at all of the knowledge of American History he has in his brain. He said this is a MUST read so I bought 2 copies. One for my nephew who plans to become a History teacher and one for my nephew. I plan to buy 3 more copies and tuck away for my grand children.

I lost another copy which I have been using in our homeschool for copywork. Love the content, but this particular printing looks like it has the wrong inner title page for what looks like another Noah Webster book. (see picture)

It is nice. I recently took a class called the Truth Project by Focus on the Family and Noah Webster's dictionary was discussed. I also bought it. These were other items discussed. What a difference in the level of what children were taught and were able to understand back in the day.

Very informative introduction on Noah Webster. We need to be teaching from his works still. His thoughts on educating the people on the new government after the Revolutionary War are sadly need today.

I believe every home should have this book, especially if you believe in God, raising a family or teach. It has been an eye " opener" and a" BLESSING " to me.

I really enjoyed learning about the life of Noah Webster. It is a shock to me that Noah Webster is not widely recognized as the father of education in America as a result of all of his contributions, both during and after his lifetime. I found this book to be an excellent source for learning about the history of education and government in America. It helped me to develop a deeper appreciation for them, too.

Excellent!!! More children/young adults should own this book! It seems our culture/society is declining, and this is a great book to get back on track. Also, it's a good read for young people in the word use department.
