Great product.
Had to reach under the kitchen sink to turn on the garbage disposal. Now, we have thiss simple button at our finger tips, and mounted it just above the cabinets under the sink. It works great, and no drilling was required. Other products I looked into were much more expensive and would have required drilling through the granite counter top, or wood cabinet.

After six months
No issues and works great. I had to install a water faucet for filtered water where the garbage disposal switch would normally go, so I used this to solve my issues. Works great, no complaints

Works but not water resistant
Works well for the most part but is not water resistant. I just keep it in the small bag it came in so it doesn’t get water from the sink on it.

Saved me hundreds of dollars!!
So, my home's previous owners had a garbage disposal. When it was bought by its 2nd owners and those owners remodeled the kitchen's countertops and sink, they mistakenly thought they were on a septic system and decided not to install. And for some reason, changed the undersink outlet to dual hot-hot (when anything plugged in, runs all the time- not good for a garbage disposal)! So when I bought the home, I decided to add a garbage disposal back (not knowing about the outlet change). Two plumbers and an electrician told me the only solution was to get a new electrical box put in and to re-wire the outlet and above sink switch wiring. "No other options". I hardly wanted to have a simple garbage disposal install end up costing me two car payments, so when a friend suggested this item, I thought it would be too good to be true. So before installing, I plug the garbage disposal directly in the undersink wall outlet and like plumbers/electrician said, ran non-stop- no way to turn off. I then plugged this wireless garbage disposal plug unit into the wall outlet and I am not kidding, it took <5 seconds to program it to the wireless on/off button that comes with it. So, I then plug my garbage disposal plug into the wireless plug unit (that's plugged into that hot-hot wall outlet) with it turned off/light off. I, in all honesty, thought the garbage disposal would still start running. Nope! Then I thought, well, let's see if this works, probably won't turn on, then. I hit the wireless on/off button and -0- hesitation, garbage disposal turns on. I push the wireless on/off button, again, and off it goes- perfect!! For $20 this thing solved what both licensed plumbers and the electrician said could only be done by new electrical boxes, wiring, opening up and rewiring outlets, breaking tile/into walls, etc for hundreds of dollars (smh)! It must have, in it, ability to convert/split the circuit to 1/2 hot, 1/2 neutral (for the plug it is plugged into) and could not be happier- highly recommend!

Perfect for my new garbage disposal installed in kitchen island
I did not want to drill a new hole in my countertop for an air valve nor was there a good place to place a conventional switch. This solves my problem nicely with the switch stuck on to the underside of my countertop.

Intermittent
I really like the idea of this, but it works at best about 50% of the time. The button is mounted on the outside of a thin kitchen cabinet door, less than 2' from the receiver/switch. Sometimes it works with a gentle push of the button, which it should. Often I have to push the button several times to get any response, and once I ran the disposal but had to manually kill the power to it because the button would not shut it off. So the jury is still out and I haven't decided whether to return it or not. If I do, I will try another one in the hope that this one is somehow defective.
