Talent , creativity and courage
Joseph Brodsky have not disappointed me.He had a great verve , a unique intuition and a very special way to figure things out .Curiosity : when I read " Speech on a stadium ",I realized where the famous commencement speech " About the sunscream " comes from.It is not the only inspiration, for sure, but it is there anyway.

talented
I am so jealous of his talents in languages- he claimed to 'practically spoke no English' when he was in UMich, yet he could write essays with beautiful, poetic, and accurate English.

Absolutely brilliant, witty and entertaining.
This edition includes an essay by Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996), selected by the author. For the first time this collection was published in New York in 1995 and was the last book published while a great poet, translator, dramatist was still alive.

Exquisite writing on fundamental subjects
Starting with an essay about his early life in Pieter (Saint Petersburg, Petrograd, Leningrad, Saint Petersburg), Nobel-prize-winning Joseph Brodsky explores a variety of topics in great depth, going behind appearances to lasting meaning.
