Not been on my garden two months and it’s actually deteriorating. It’s just breaking down and I can see through it all overPut this under my mulch in my flower bed and now worried it’s just going to let the weeds back through.

Very good price and easy to install. A little thinner than other papers but still works well and is easy to use.

i had in mind to cover a smallish garden plot, my 'bean patch' with this to keep from having to weed that particular area this fall, my plot is about 25X8' . So i bought a big pack of staples and laid it out over my shaped furrows for the beans limas and peas, no problem looks great, cut some small holes to plant through. Waters fine and really cuts down on the erosion. I left it on the surface going against the recommendation to cover it with mulch or alittle soil because its not UV rated, but i figured i would be happy if it lasts through a season and theres plenty on the role to redo the plot several times. It does cut down on weed growth but tough weeds will grow underneath it and start and grow on top of it if theres any soil at all for them to start so it definitely is not 100% effective ... i would say more like 75% effective depending on your application im sure .. in other words its not all that and a bag of potato chips, but it is cutting down on me having to weed daily and erosion so i kinda like it .. so if your thinking ' i have alot of weeds here so im gonna lay this stuff down and end all my problems' i think your likely to be disappointed .. for what im doing, seasonal gardening in a smallish plot and using it on top as disposable, i think its going to be a benefit ...

Have been meaning to write this as I have been so impressed with the product's performance. I got this to put below some playground much on my Children's new swing set. Thru constantly evolving plans and designs, I had to pick up and put down the matting at least 3x over the entire structure footprint, some places even more. Throughout it all the thing I could count on to retain its integrity was this matting, could step on it, scuff it, leave it out in the sun and rain, yet nothing would make it lose its integrity or allow it to become shredded. Even where I intentionally wanted to put holes in it with ground stakes to keep it in place at the edges, never had to worry about it tearing or coming apart on me when I put some pressure or friction on it.Most of the time I usually leave bad reviews as a warning to any unsuspecting buyers out there of unexpected pitfalls with the product. I am extremely pleased to be able to write of a deserving product in the opposite direction.

Crabgrass, goat-heads, pigweed, sandburs, what you gonna do? We had 30-yr-old black plastic sheeting under gravel, laid when the house was built. Over time it disintegrated & actually caused greenhouse effect, allowing weeds to retain moisture and become big, fat & juicy. We spent hundreds of $ on systemics, weed preventers & other chemicals to no avail. They don't call it crabgrass for nothing. Finally re-landscaped, pulled up the plastic and designated a test area over the densest weeds: put down 7 different brands of weed-control fabric and attached securely with anchor pins. Made small x-cuts in the fabric as if for plants. Left it alone for 2 months. This product won hands-down! Absolutely no weeds- not a single one- got through, yet rainwater passes through easily. Six months later, still holding up! Forget the chemicals, the expensive wool-type felt or fabric barriers, and especially the cheesy stuff they sell at Lowe's & Home Depot. This is by far your best bet.*ADDITIONAL INFO ADDED 15 MONTHS LATER: This weed control fabric is still holding up and working like it's supposed to more than a year later. Even the crabgrass is finally gone!*3 1/2 YEARS AFTER PURCHASE: Over time, a thin layer of dirt will accumulate between the gravel and weedcloth, allowing a few shallow-root weeds to appear on top, easily pulled up by hand. Unfortunately, I hired a landscaper to do this for me. BIG MISTAKE! Although I explained to him in great detail about the weedcloth, he used a sharp metal weed remover and punctured the cloth all over my yard. I am so #@%$ing mad. Now the weeds are sprouting like, well, weeds, and I am back to square one. Lesson: don't assume that even professional landscapers understand the concept of weedcloth, and don't let them ruin your investment.

It’s cheap, but very fragile. I used it to cover old dead lawn area on my front yard and put mulch on top of it. It has been about six months and I ended up removing some mulch in order to run irrigation tubes. I just noticed the tarp has been punctured in many spots. It looks like it has happened as a result of me walking over the mulch on top of it. It looks too weak to even withstand pieces of mulch pressing against it.

Im using it in the flower bed, Raspberry and Strawberry areas. I found it easy to use no fuss no muss.

It is what it says it is, pretty strong, and lots of it.

While this is a normal quality landscape fabric, know that it is not really heavy. It does not come with a millimetre rating, but it is very average in weight.
