I thought the demascus steel looked great. The knife handle scales were not great. Dont even think they were wide enuf for this style. So i used my own wood (zebra). First knife handle i ever did. Think it turned out nice.

I bought this for my brother, and he is into all things crafty. He had a blast building it, and he even messed the handle up and had to get some more wood to complete the project. It's interesting because although he had to spend a little more to complete the knife, he still really enjoyed building it with his 12 year old son.

This blade looks extremely well forged. Classic blade shape reasonably sharp as delivered. A person would be hard pressed to find one as well made as this for the money. I did not like the wood slabs that came in kit so opted for cherry and brass pins. 4 coats of hand rubbed linseed oil and am very pleased with it. Definitely would buy again

I really wish this was still available. I’ve only made maybe 10 knives so far using blanks from various sources but I ended up keeping this one for myself. The handle shape and size is very comfortable and the blade is balanced very well. The sheath is of cheap quality but I make my own and I used my own pins rather than the ones provided so I can’t say much about those but the blade is definitely a five star.

The blade looks great, and I am pleased with the purchase. I didn't use the handles that came with the kit: I used ironwood handles instead. The order came quickly and was accurate. The leather sheath is longer than the blade and is probably used for other, longer blade styles.

I am looking forward to making this little project. I used to forge my own stuff. But disability has limited what I can do. This is most suitable for a project for me. The knife blade is excellent and the Damascus pattern is appealing. All included is good quality and great value for the money.

A beautiful damascus blade, predrilled and ready for the handle. The scales are very nice and the kit includes the pins and lanyard grommet.No glue is included, but otherwise all the parts are there.
