SWISS BLUE TOPAZ Topaz is the birth stone for the month of December. Its name may come from the Sanskrit word tapas, meaning heat or fire. Topaz comes naturally in a variety of colors. Blue topaz has been said to provide artistic inspiration. The blue color can actually be intensified by exposure to radiation.
