The CD does not disappoint. Rebel INS is on top of his game ...
As a rap fan, a Wu Tang fan, and an Inspectah Deck fan, when I came across this CD on Amazon I hit pause. Inspectah Deck with a comic book twist (this in lieu of a kung-fu twist)? Count me in.The CD does not disappoint. Rebel INS is on top of his game with lyrics tighter than a vice, newcomer Esoteric with a style somewhere between Capadonna and Streetlife and fresh catchy beats from 7L, this is a can't miss for rap fans. I can play the CD straight through without skipping a track - a rarity in any era and any genre. There is a follow-up album - is it anywhere near as good as the first?

this is perfect!
good beats and good rhymes, what more can you want? cool cover too, i recommend the cd if you can wait for it to get delivered!deck - he switches it up from the typical deck flow with great success. also adds some personality into his raps, more than usual, you can hear it in his voice.esoteric - this dude can rap his butt off. hats off to him, he really surprised me on this one. everything rhymes with this dude, he's talented for sure at the technical aspect of flowing, very listenable7L - doing his best rza impression here, the beats are very wu-ish. which is great! thumbs up for the production on this oneloved ghostface's verse, actually all the features were ill on this, pick this one up!

Just lacking something
If you like hip hop, you should probably buy this album. With that out of the way, I think this album is a bit overrated. The biggest reason is that Esoteric and Inspectah Deck's flows feel very rigid and at times uninspired. After several listens, only two or three of the fifteen tracks feel solid to me with definite replay value, the rest fall short. It's still a reasonably decent album in terms of content and presentation. Both of these artists have a lot of respect and longevity in the genre and that alone, along with this album being a bit of a homage to an older era of rap, makes this worth a listen. But it just seems like a certain degree of passion or energy is missing here, so I can't give it five stars. It's still solid, and better than a lot of more mainstream hip hop available right now, but don't go into it with high expectations based on a lot of these other reviews. It is what it is, a respectable album from two long-time artists with a distinct sound, but nothing exciting or exceptionally interesting is brought to the table with this one.

CZARMAN!!!
I love the cd. I gave it four stars because I like to reserve five for the absolute best. I've been a long time wu-tang fan and also think that inspectah deck is one of the illest emcee's out there. This was great because I got to see him out of his main element and collaborating with a different artist. I had never heard of esoteric until I got this album, but after hearing it I would get another one of his albums in a second. This album is well worth the money and more.

Breath of fresh air
Hip Hop IS Alive! After growing up in the 90s when real hip hop thrived I began to lose interest in what I feared was a dying art. As garbage was flooding the market like drake, 50 cent, pitbull, flo rida, and lil wayne with lack luster repetitive lyrics and beats I found myself digging in the crates as apposed to expanding my collection. Czarface is the resurrection and proof that hip hop can never die. With witty fun lyrics and head nodding beats this is a must have for any fan of true hip hop.

Really enjoyable
Wu Tang Clan member Inspectah Deck hasn't had the best solo career, but by joining up with underground duo 7L & Esoteric for this project, he has redeemed himself. 7L's production is excellent, with one other track produced by the great DJ Premier. Deck and Esoteric have great chemistry and the guest list is pretty impressive, with a scene stealing verse from Ghostface Killah. The only track I didn't really care for was Dead Zone, but overall this album is great to listen to and is full of references to comic books, wrestling and old school hip hop. Great stuff.

Czarface tramples all pretenders!!
I first heard the track Hazmat Rap on Youtube and was instantly hooked and just had to get hold of my copy!Well and truly chuffed as this is one of the best albums I have bought in a while. And that is not just within hip hop, as I am into alot of other music too.Production from 7L is tight and Inspektah and Esoteric's flows and style match up perfectly with the beats. These are MC's that have been around and are well respected within their craft. No BS about how much money they make or how many women they sleep with and all the other crap that has become mandatory in modern rap music - if infact you can actually call it music...Narrative throughout the album is that of a Superhero and is very similarly put together to Ghostface's Supreme Clientele (also highly recommended!). The is NO filler material here and every verse and rhythm is sharp and focused. My head was bopping nonstop for a whole week before I even considered putting it down.Personal favourites:Hazmat Rap - Goes HARD!Air 'Em Out - Opening track to kick of proceedings which lasts throughout the album.Let It Off - DJ Premier has still got it. This guy will never lose his touch. One of the all time great producers.Poisonous Thoughts - Thumping tune rhymes to match those hardcore beats. No doubt this album will be slept on but I think in time it will become a classic. I'm already trying to do my part and spread it to all my friends who are into real music. This is production, this is rhyming, this is skill. This IS the hip hop album so far for 2013.

2013 started slowly for hip hop but as soon as i heard a couple of leaked songs from 'Czarface' i had to pre order and it didnt let me down, albums dope. 7Ls production is on point and esoteric contributes with some dope verses and of course inspectah deck as always, goes hard.My top 55.Czar Rafaeli4.Poisonous Thoughts (MR MFN Exuire's part is so dope)3.World War 4 (for some reason it reminds me of how big daddy kane used to flow so nicely on a beat)2.Let It Off1.It's Raw
