UPDATE (10/29/2019):The LED lights are MOST DEFINITELY NOT WATERPROOF. If you buy these, don't leave them outside if it will rain. The base cap has NO SEAL. I had to dry the cap, inside the candle base (including the switch), and all the batteries.ORIGINAL REVIEW (9/19/2019):These will function as either OFF or ON using the timer function - as advertised.If rechargeable AA batteries are used the light will be dim, so get some QUALITY alkaline batteries that won't leak if you want the candles to be bright enough.One of the candles has a switch that can no longer be operated - see the photos. The switch was not secured to the plastic candle bottom. I had ordered 12 of these, so 1 of 12 is about 8% failure rate.If all the candles are supposed to come on at the same time, the switch needs to be OFF, then the batteries can be replaced, and then one-by-one the candles can be turned ON. The switch is important. I'll attempt to contact the seller about the one failure. Update to follow.

Not only have these candles survived the rain, but they have also now endured 100+ temperatures. I live in Arizona! If they eventually melt, I will still feel I got a great buy with these candles! I have not had to change the batteries yet (purchased in February 2020 and it's May 2020). I love being able to look outside at night and see these candles casting a wonderful glow threw my hanging lanterns.

These outdoor candles fit the bill! Previous candles had wax coating that melted in the sun. These candles are perfect for my hot front stoop. They are easy to program, and look attractive. I'll purchase them again. 3 sizes are perfect and the color is a nice realistic beige, not plasticy white. The glow when lit is a pretty golden. Nice alone or in a lantern.

These are not waterproof. Used them for outdoor lanterns and these 2 were exposed to rain and they corroded. One of them even looks like the switch overheated. I had to open the bottoms and let the water drain several times until they stopped working. Had them for 2 less months.Would not recommend if you plan to use these outdoors in areas that get wet or have a lot of moisture.

Received Wednesday and here it is Friday evening and one is already broke and no longer working! The box was disposed of due to Covid 19 and now I have no way to return the set 😡Can’t drive it to Kohls because they too are closed due to the pandemic 😢I just want these replaced with identical ones, that’s all.

These candles are so nice ...and as a candle aficionado (lol!) I take my candle seriously. I love that they look so real and you can safely use them outdoors with no fear of them being harmed or melting like the wax ones..They are such a good price that one can easily purchase more than one set which i have. the timer is also nice especially since they are outdoors and it is good that they turn themselves off and you don't have to bother with going out and turning them off yourself. i also get lots of compliments from my neighbors with my porch decor that includes my Amazon candles as well as the solar lights also from Amazon. Additionally the candles are easy on the batteries in that they last a long time.. Some candles seem that they just go through batteries so quickly that you are hesitant to use them very often but not these. Oh and also i will add that i have received no compensation for my review...it is all simply from my true and honest opinion.

I was so shocked how yellow this candle was when I opened the box!It’s ridiculously yellow!It looks like old plastic changed to yellow over time!Look the picture I attached.My other flameless candle looks so much morerealistic and better!I don’t like leaving bad review but if I knew this candle was this yellow, I wouldn’t have bought it so I wanted to share the actual color so people would know what color of candle getting....I had to return this.

I HAVE ABOUT 20 OUTDOOR TIMER CANDLES. Some wax, some resin, some plastic; some with 3 AAA batteries (don't last) and some with 2AA batteries. SO I know what I am talking about.THESE ARE THE BEST CANDLES - EVER - EVER - EVER!!!What I like: they don't have an "on" position - only off and timer (that is all you need).They do not melt. (All my candles are outdoors and in the summer the wax and resin ones "sag" over time.They have a sealed battery compartment so if your candle sits in a lantern and water gets in, the batteries stay dry.They use two AA batteries, which are the longest lasing.The ONLY negative: they only come in 6 inch. I need a bunch of 4 inch.(I hope the supplier reads these reviews.)

Over the years I've purchased a lot of these battery powered 'candles'. These are BY FAR the best I've ever had. Received them quickly, set them up in a minute and haven't touched them again. They've been on every night for the past month and a half. They look great in the Ikea lanterns I have them in. I would definitely buy these again.

so far are great had a sever rainstorm and they still seem to be working fine
