I have bought many flag pole holders in the past but this is a much better quality than the others. In addition, this holder has easy to use screws to hold the flag pole in the holder and an easy to set angle for the pole. Like it a lot!

So far so good, I own 3 of these now, and none of them have broken. The only complaint is, that the wing nut keeps coming loose. Added a lock washer, which seems to take care of that. Company needs to add that part, until they do, no 5 stars from me.update:well the bracket broke the other day. I have another one still up, that one weathered through the same storm. Not sure what to make of it. The only thing I can think of, is that the flag pole was not snug in the bracket, but really loose, I ordered different poles that are supposed to fit tighter in it. I think, overall, that was my main problem, and it caused too much stress.

I purchased this metal bracket to replace a plastic one that I had been using for the past 2 years. Recently, the plastic ended up popping over the screw heads rendering the bracket useless. I decided to go with a cast aluminum bracket in the hopes that it would be more durable. This morning we had a thunderstorm pass through our neighborhood, and when it was done I noticed my flag lying in the neighbor's yard still attached to the pole. The included pictures show the reason why. The bracket snapped right off where the flag pole was held. So much for durability! I don't know if this was a defect just in this particular item, or if it is the norm, but I won't be buying another one of these.

This product seems to be doing the job. I didn't use the supplied hardware because I thought they were not going to perform well. I used #8 or #10 screws purchased at Lowes and attached the holder against the brick/mortar. There is a small depression inside the receptacle (where the pole fits into) that I drilled a 1/8" hole to allow rain water to drain. Also, I painted the holder to match the brick rather than that silver/gray color. Too bad it wasn't offered in another color or than white or silver/gray. All in all, it's just fine.I would've rated this item 5 stars had I not have to do anything. Maybe I'm too picky.

The flag standard is great. The missing star is for the mounting hardware. The screws are short, the anchors are deeply recessed and my flag weighs a lot (not nearly as heavy as the standard would support though) and the mounts supplied would probably keep it up a few days. UPDATE: Boy was I wrong. My upgraded anchors lasted 3 hours in the Nevada winds! Took an hour to adapt and install 5/16” x 1 1/2” sleeve anchors. Hope they work!

i live in an area of high winds. 45 and 50 mph gusts from the wrong direction have snapped them off on occasion. nothing bad to say about the product. it just happens here. on occasion i have had them rip loose from the garage in high winds.

This is an excellent flag pole bracket. Once installed, you can easily change the angle of your flag pole for display of different types of flags if you so choose. Also, the holder can securely hold different size (circumference) poles up to it's max with the simple wheel adjustment on the side. I have an all-weather embroidered US flag that is not light and I have flown it in wet weather and high winds and the flag pole holder has done it's job. I have observed the flag pole itself vibrating from the wind with the flag flying straight out and the flag pole bracket has held it firmly in every case.

UPDATE::: Weeks less than year of non-continuous use - this happened in 50 mph wind gust. No different than the earlier ones I bought from China... save your $$$$. ORIG::: Well built, smooth metal stampings very easy to install. Because I live near an ocean, I put a coat of spray enamel over them to help retard rusting. Not much to say...great product that works and does the job..
