Throw grocery bags / shoes / bottles / whatever may move around while in motion.It holds them in place, and folds down to fit in the side storage in the hatch when you don't need it.Great cheap addition to cut a minor inconvenience out of your life to make your day just a bit better.

Works well, does not come with mounting instructions. Could have come with some better hardware but it does the job.

Use your own screws
The screws that came with this product stripped instantaneously and I have to go buy some from home depot. One of them even broke off in the hole so I had to drill a new hole and cover the old one up.
