A great introduction for novice
The book is a good source of information for novices who want make its first steps in game development with Unreal, but is not a easy lecture, be aweare. My calification is for the content, the disadvantage for this product is the constant update in Unreal Engine and the changes that means with it.

There are some nice tutorials online teaching RPG design using UE4 and even UE5, but all of them use Blueprints. I’m interesting about how a RPG can be implementing using Unreal C++ in UE5, and recently found this book. I’ve some experience in C# programming language and Unity, and after UE5 coming out, I decided to learn C++ and apply it in UE5.So far I’ve finished first four chapters and realized that Unreal C++ indeed is an assisted modern C++ and also provides garbage collector just like the C#. So if you have experience for other programming languages, I believe that you can apply the knowledge and learn the Unreal C++ with this book.As for the RPG part of the book, it aims to teach you how to implement an open-world ARPG like the Sword and Fairy 7 game just been released recently, and covers creating open-world levels from real-world terrain data. The horse riding system is implemented in C++, and using the new full-body IK in UE5, which I found interesting and it’s another reason that I chose this book.

Extremely thorough. Valuable for aspiring game developers diving into Unreal Engine.
This book is extremely thorough and a real gift to those looking for an intro to navigating the key functions and capabilities of Unreal Engine. With all the raw code, it may be a bit unrealistic to follow each step from start to finish, but you can easily skip between the parts that are of interest to you for your particular goals or projects.Highly recommended for aspiring game developers diving into the intimidating waters of Unreal Engine for the first time.
