Substantial, with lots of adjustbility
I'm using this to keep a dust hose and random orbital sander up off my workbench, with an easy pulldown when I need it. The first thing I found out about it is that you need far less tension on it than you would think. And I appreciate the fact that the force required to keep the sander on the workpiece is consistent, whether you're right below this or four feet to the side at an angle of about 30 degrees. As a solution for sanding, this might be overkill, but I'd rather know that the tool and hose are secure than just hope for that with a flimsier option.

Worked well for balancing a plug.Only complaint is spring not all that linear.

Works for my Tesla charging cord hung from the ceiling.
It's perfect for my Tesla charging cable. Feels like it will hold up well but if it doesn't (within reason) I'll just buy another. The price is right.
