Ingenious Jewellery Sterling Silver Earrings and Adjustable Ring Set with Majorca Pearls

The jewellery arrived in a box with a clear window so you can see the contents. The box is marked with the brand name and "sterling silver" but no information is given about the pearls.The pearls are substantial - not quite as white as the image shows but still more white than cream. They aren't too obviously "fake" and have a good lustre to them. All the silver pieces (including the earring posts) are marked 925.The ring is very easily adjustable and fitted comfortably on my index, middle and ring fingers, although could not be made small enough to fit my little finger. On my ring finger (which is size L1/2) the pearls are more or less touching, but on my middle finger there is about a 7mm gap between them. The ring is very comfortable to wear and striking in appearance.The earrings come in three parts - the pearl stud, the pearl dangle on a silver mount, and a silver butterfly back. The description says there are five holes in the back to adjust the depth of the dangle ... however, my pair has only 4 holes each, arranged in a triangle, which means that the depth can be adjusted by a couple of millimetres, and I suppose the angle too. That said, I'm not sure what holes I was using when I tried them on, as the dangle goes behind the ear and I couldn't see what I was doing! I found the earrings heavier than I am used to, and the silver mount was more noticeable in profile than I expected.I think the ring will get worn more than the earrings, but they are both attractive items.

I think this is a very unusual design and it seems to be well made. The ring is really easy to adjust and surprisingly comfortable to wear. The earrings are designed so the larger pearl sits under your ear. They cannot be adjusted and are closed with a normal butterfly clip. Style wise they are very contemporary - whether you like the look will be down to personal choice, but they are certainly very different looking and well suited to evening wear.Where I have some slight issues with this item is that they are quite heavy and the butterfly clip alone doesn't feel secure enough. Also, there is nothing to explain the provenance of the pearls in the box at all. I'm not an expert so I wasn't able to tell if they were cultured pearls or not - certainly they are uniform in size and seem quite cool to the touch but I cannot be sure.A brave style choice I think, probably best suited to younger women - you could always just wear the stud by itself. I like them and the fact that they are British made is a plus, I'd just have liked them to come with a bit more information and to have a heavier fastening.

These were a Christmas present for me from me as they look so extravagant yet don't cost the earth. Have enough weight on them to not look cheap yet aren't so heavy to weigh down your ears! The matching ring is a lovely bonus too. Earrings very versatile and can be worn in a couple of ways, as shown or stud alone. You won't be disappointed
