Nice heavy axe.
I don’t know much about throwing axes but thought I’d give it a try. Definitely I’m not cut out for this sport but it does make for a nice axe to have around for splitting wood for the smoker.

Head is loose
Bought the three pack to try them out. I was going to use them on the top of my trophies. The heads have epoxy or resin. Two of mine were cracked, one was completely broken.

Bury the hatchet.....in the stump
My boys have been paying to go axe throwing. They really enjoy it. Recently we were at a family member's house and they showed us their axe throwing set up in their yard.Gave me some motivation to do that ourselves. My son actually built a throwing wall for throwing knives/cards but it's not strong enough for this so we actually have to get some heavy stumps for that. My neighbors are going to cut down a big tree so we'll ask them for a chunk of it.The front of the hatchet has a nice nose for throwing. It helps it to catch in the wood. (It happens to also be good for hooking it on the fence when you're taking a break from throwing)The handle is smooth and comfy. There's something about having a weighed axe in your hand. Must be the ancestral Viking in my blood. LOLI have no idea what this hatchet would be good for besides throwing. I wouldn't want to use it outside of that unless I had to conk someone on the head for defense. But I think we'll stick with axe throwing with this bad boy.

Thumbs down!
Just like everyone else's review. Poor assembly. Heads are loose and workmanship is poor. I'll fix them. For as much as everything costs you would think they would be better. I guess I just take what I get. Thumbs down!

Solid construction, requires practice to learn
This is my first throwing axe and I'm still learning to throw it properly. In terms of the build quality though, this is a well built axe and seems like a good one to learn with. The head is nicely polished with a brushed look which hides scratches well. This is good, as the axe gets pretty dinged up when you miss. The handle is sanded and stained. The head is attached with a barrel wedge, with a thick layer of epoxy on top. Woodsplitting axes often break and need to have new handles installed, but the layer of epoxy on this may make that difficult if it ever needs to be repaired. In the short term though, I'm guessing this will likely add some extra strength to the head.I'm not sure how long this will last with the repeated force of hitting the target (and the ground when it bounces off or I miss), but as a fun toy to introduce me to axe throwing, this has worked well.

Beautiful axe
This axe is very nice, it is extremely sharp and has a sturdy handle. It has some weight to it and is great for double arm throwing. I've only tossed it a few of times and it is still nice and sharp and stuck great to the wood. The head and handle hold really good, there's no movement even after hitting the ground. Also looks very nice just hanging on the wall.

Cool looking, poorly constructed axe.
I really wanted to like this axe. I like the way it looks and the way it feels. When I started to throw it, I threw a bullseye just about every time. But, after approximately 10 or 15 throws, I noticed that the axe head was getting a little wobbly. Then, it got worse and worse. So, I tried another axe. Same great look, same great feel. Also, same poor construction. Started to wobble after 2 or 3 throws. It's got to go back now too unfortunately. Hopefully, someone at JXE JXO will figure out their quality control problems because as I stated in the beginning, I really want to like this axe.

Very nice axe
I appreciate that they included a cover for the blade but it is a little underwhelming

Absolute garbage!
Barely used once, stuck it in the wood one time, not even hard, head is loose on the handle. It wasn't advertised as strictly decorative or an ornament. It should be, it's completely useless! I wouldn't ever suggest this to anyone unless it was my enemy. Then I'd have a fighting chance for sure!
