I like the film, I always have. Unfortunately, I could not get it to play in English Without sub-titles in Spanish.

Stanwyck looks beautiful but can't save this film
The wonderful Barbara Stanwyck stars as a woman used and abused by her drunken father and working the nothing life in his bar when an old man befriends her and tells her to do something with her life, visit the big cities but do it right. Beautiful woman takes her cleaner black woman you know- and heads to the city but of course is a naughty girl. Prett racy for the time, as Stanwcyk uses her beauty to hypnotise her bank bosses, having affairs, doing favours etc etc to make it to the top- and she does!But movie is pretty hollow otherwise, though always nice to see a few small New York location shoots from the time. It's just that ending that is a real bug- I mean REALLY seriously? Can't say what it is don't want to spoil it but it is a real let down. Not a terrible movie but definetly an average one. Watch out for a young John Wayne, but blink and you'll miss him.
