Daddy Cuddles (DaddyMommy)

While I wasn't thrilled with the artwork in this series of books, it is still a cute book. We can go over all the different kinds of animals in the book, be silly on each page and mimic what the animals are doing, and these books have taught our son that he is not the only person/creature who has someone that they call "Mommy" or "Daddy". He would at first point to us very confused when we started reading the book, like "Hey, YOU are Daddy/Mommy!" but very quickly caught on and starts pointing at the "parent" animal and the baby animal exclaiming "Daddy/Mommy Bear(or whatever animal)" or "Baby Puppy! (or whatever)". It's endearing, and educational as they learn about this part of life, and differentiate between all the animal species, learn new words, and these books are fairly small too so our son carries them around the house pretending to read them all day too. Cute stocking stuffer or present for Mother's/Father's day for the new parents!

My husband is a hands on father with our little baby since she was born. It has been a real struggle to find books for him to read to our daughter that reflect their close, affectionate relationship. Most books are about all the things daddy does, but we really needed something to help reflect the affection the two share - as with so many of my mummy books. Well, we finally found something. Our daughter loves looking at this, and daddy acts out all the cuddles with her :) The opportunity for them to bond is a good one. An excellent gift to yourself, any father, or any father to be. It helps let dads be affectionate too. They want to be ;)

First, if you can choose only one book between this one and "Daddy Kisses," go with "Daddy Kisses."That being said, my son does love this book, especially as a prelude to reading "Daddy Kisses." He loves jumping on my husband's back like the Koala and the boy and he likes pointing at the animals in this book and comparing them to the same animals in other books. This is a sweet book and gives good chances of interaction between daddy and child.

Great book. One of our nightly reads. I bought this one as a gift. It's a great bonding book we copy the cuddles described as we read it. Short but sweet, easy for our son to remember

this book is ok. Not my 20 mos old son's favorite, but it was more sentimental purchase for my husband's first father's day. So it served it's purpose well. The illustrations are all as you see on the cover. I think my son enjoys bolder colors, but he would look at this briefly. then again, most things are brief at this age.

This book is soooo cute! I bought it for my husband for his first father's day, and he loves reading it to our 7 month old son. Our little guy seems to like it too, with all the little animals. Would definitely recommend this sweet book.

A short and sweet book about father animals. The pictures are cute and the words are easy for a quick bedtime read. It is a typical nice and sturdy board book. I got this book for my husband when we were expecting our 1st child for Father's Day. It is heart warming now to hear him read it to our son.

This one isn't as good as Daddy kisses, but it's still a cute interactive book that both of the kids enjoy.

Cute book. Gave as a Father's Day gift to dad. Each page has a picture of a different kind of animal and it's dad and the last page is a boy and his father.
