I bought a tub of this stuff a year ago, and am just now seeing the bottom of the tin.But more importantly -- I haven't wanted to try any other brands in that year.I always felt a hair product could be a little more this, a little less that -- but the Zeus stuff feels great (not slimy or waxy), holds great without being greasy, smells subtle and nice, and is in a sexy metal tin to boot.I try out a lot of products in general, and am surprised this doesn't have more reviews!To make sure you're using it correctly -- get some out, and RUB your hands together quickly to warm it up and spread it out -- then use both hands to apply throughout your roots. It honestly works on either damp or dry hair in my experience, but of course a fresh slate after a shower is usually ideal.

I do like this product, went with a cheaper option since my normal clay raised an extra $5. I usually use layrite clay. The smell is nice and clean, but hardly present. Sticks in your hands alot more than layrite as well. Hold is great though. It does its job for sure, I just have always loved layrite and will go back.

I love this pomade for my boyfriend! It stays on clean and strong. It even has this fresh lime scent which is a bonus 😍Always has my man looking + smelling good all day 🥰

This clay pomade is decent, the hold is more of a medium hold rather than strong. The thing that really irritates me about it is the scent it honestly smells like an old lady and it lingers a bit throughout the day.Update- I was reached out by the company and they gave me a refund for the pomade, I wasn’t expecting that. Great customer service that shows they care about their customers and their product so they get an extra star in the rating.

Strong yet pliable hold. Can restyle through out the day if you like, or set it and forget it. Scent is fine, but it is very understated. I wear cologne, so that's perfect to me. Product breaks down well and is easy to apply (for a clay). Recommended. For reference, I have medium length, thick hair. I will use a sea salt spray first, then throw the clay in . I will blow dry just for shaping, 30 seconds or less. Done!

Not water soluble. Not shampoo soluble, at least not after 4 attempts. It's breaking down but definitely not gone. And does not hold shape for thick hair. Not Not Not!Oh, but it does smell nice but still NOT worth it.

I used to use uppercut but this claybased matte pomade is soo much more my preference. This stuff doesn't have a strong odor, I barley notice it at all. It's easy to use and I prefer to use it in moist vs dry hair. I slick my hair back and this stuff holds very well with minimal gloss thanks to its matte effect. I'm also able to restyle it by moistening my hair a bit. Will definitely buy it again.

I honestly wish that the smell was a little stronger. You dont really get any whiff of it during the day. The hold is good and the finish is matte. Good pomade.

ill be honest i've been trying different pomades and I didnt expect much from this but this has literally become one of my favorites.i have thick stubborn asian hair and this holds my slickback well while not being heavy. also doesnt dry my hair out when I wash it. thank you!

I have used Zeus' cream pomade for over a year now and really like it for the most part but wanted to see if the clay pomade had a little better hold for those stubborn hairs near the back that don't seem to want to stay down. And this stuff is legit.Holds exceptionally and after a few hours, similar to their cream pomade, doesn't really even feel like you have a product in your hair.Scent is very minimal. You won't be smelling it all day (or even after applying) like some other salon brands which is right up my alley. mild and earthy with a very light citrus combination.Now, I'm not sure why but I just feel that this stuff doesn't come out all that easy in the shower. States on the container that it is water soluble but washing it out leaves my hair feeling (hard to describe) a little rough. Don't get me wrong, its not an excessive build up and after I reapply after my shower it feels and looks great but just doesn't feel like it rinses completely clean like Zeus' cream pomade.I would definitely recommend this for shorter styles especially with thick hair. I'm going to still use the cream pomade when I grow my hair out in the winter as I usually do. I find the cream pomade works even better on longer styles.Can't really fault the solubility (could just be my hair or water) but the pro's far out way the con of this stuff. Very little needed to gain a great hold that lasts all day, feels great after applied and doesn't stink up a room.Zeus definitely knows how to make a quality hair product. Now if only they could keep them in stock on here....
