Yeager’s Pin-Up Work Seems So Innocent Today
Yeager’s Pin-Up Work Seems So Innocent Today It’s amazing for those of us who were alive at the time the photos in this book were taken and first published, that we were anxiously waiting to see them. These pin-ups were really more fashion or swim ware photographs than pin-ups. In many cases the models had to make their own swim suits. Many of their creations were actually considered risque. Except for some of the photos of Bettie Page, who does deserve the title of “Pin-Up Queen”, most of the images are tamer than the animals shown in the Africa USA Safari Park in Boca Raton, Florida. The photos of Sammy Davis, Jr. were interesting because of his celebrity status and his interest in photography and, of course, pin-up models. Most of the best photographs in the volume are found in the proof sheets. The best “Nude not Naked” photos in the book were taken of model Christine Starr in the ancient ruins at Chichen Itza, Mexico in 1967. There are so few nudes included in the book, the readers almost have to ask themselves if there were as many beautiful women around during the era when these photos were made. But there are enough beautiful models included to dismiss that silly notion. There have always been beautiful women around even if they didn’t want to have their faces and identity revealed in the published end products. The readers of this book can see this for themselves by checking out the nudes of the book and proof sheets. The models faces are often turned away or covered by props or even their own body and hairdos.Unlike some of these glamour photo collections, this book actually includes quite a lot of text. For all those other stone-age males who are still alive, this book is a fun trip down memory lane. They are left-overs from an age of innocence. One word of warning, however, they will also remind many of us fans that we are ancient and no longer very relevant. It’s also tough to realize that all those beautiful women have probably been dead for years but hopefully most of them were grandmothers and great grandmothers before their passed away..

Legendary Pin up photograher Bunny Yeager
I have been a huge fan of vintage glamour girls for most of my life and I'm especially fascinated with Bettie Page and the lovely ladylike women from the 50's and 60's. This book is by Miami Florida's legendary pin up model turned photograher Bunny Yeager. It's a large gorgeous coffee table book printed on thick beautiful glossy paper filled with many fun and flirty pictures. These are some of the most beautiful photo's of Bettie Page I have seen, Bettie is playfully enjoying the sun and ocean waves, kicking her legs in a waterfall or laying nude next to a couple of cheetah's in her famous "jungle girl" photo's and don't forget Bettie's famous adorably flirty Miss Dec 1955 Playboy Playmate santa hat photo. There are alot of contact sheets so we get to see alot of outtakes and many never before seen pictures from the Betty sessions. There is a nice interview with Bettie and fun instuctions on making your own pin up photo's, the right props and poses etc... Also there are other lovely pictures of Bunny herself and unknown models. There is even a few photo's of unknown but interesting handsome man in several wonderful and stunning ocean photos. I really enjoyed the amazing back story about Bunny Yeager and how she got into photograhy. She certainly is a beauty herself and has a very creative artistic view of the female form and photograhy itself. The Black and white pictures of the ocean are breathtaking. I can almost feel the Florida sun and sand on my feet looking at these winsome photo's of a more innocent era gone by. I wish Bunny Yeager could sign my book and I could have met her. Thank you for a delightful book, God Bless you Bunny!

with its recent beautifully appointed books concerning Bunny Yaeger
Publisher Rizzoli has, with its recent beautifully appointed books concerning Bunny Yaeger, given Taschen a real sprint for their money. Every page chock full of nicely chosenglamour photographs shot by a master(mistress?) of the art form. Given time, it's takenthe better part of a century for her work to be pulled from the publishing ghetto, intothe light of day. This book, and Yaeger's last, on Bette Page, belong on the shelf of anyonewith more than a casual interest in the history and evolution of the American Pin Up.Call it cheesecake or what you will, it's beyond the time to pull it, and it's champions, out of that crowded closet. You should know that it contains some nudity. You shouldalso know that it is one of the best books of its kind.

Photography Friend I Bought It For Loved It
Can't say I know a lot about photography, but a dear friend of mine was looking to expand her business into so-called "boudoir" photography (sexy pictures intended for one's boyfriend/girlfriend) and I thought she'd enjoy this. She did, and said it was very inspiring. Seeing what was considered 'risque' back then as opposed to what you might see during any given day watching network TV today is a hoot.

Superb! If you love the glamorous ladies of the forties and fifties, this is for you!
If you're a fan of Bunny Yeager's work, or just vintage pinup or glamor photography of the 1940's and 1950's, this book is guaranteed to satisfy. Extremely well done, extremely high quality, this is just one of those books that will be a top-shelf source of ideas for photography forevermore. It's great if you're a photographer yourself, and it's equally great if you just appreciate the gorgeous ladies of the era and want to admire how magnificently Bunny Yeager preserved their images. This is a fantastic large-format book and unlike a lot of books in this genre, the printing quality is superb and the paper quality is fantastic - buy it, you'll have no regrets.

Excellent!!
Excellent book in fabulous condition. The only problem was the length of time it took to get here (about 10 days after you requested this review) but it was worth the wait.

Great book
I love the quality of the book and the photos in it. Bunny had a way of capturing the whole person in her photo's. This make them wonderful nude picture, without being just some picture of a naked women or man.

A wonderful book for fans of 50's/ early 60's pin up ...
A wonderful book for fans of 50's/ early 60's pin up photography. There are lovely "selfies" as this generation might call them, of Bunny herself - and what a classic she was - but also many great pictures of the bevy of girls who modeled for her, including, of course, the one and only Betty Page.A "must have" for anyone serious about this, sadly past, celebration of female beauty, captured by a lady who epitomised it on both sides of the lens.

Bunny Yeager is honored with this book. It contains a portfolio of beautiful pictures, that show the artistic development of Bunny Yeager. The section with selfportraits is marvellous.

Beautiful.
Yeager has inspired me for years and this book does her work absolute justice. The book is beautiful inside and out. It is ridiculously difficult to resist flicking through this book to gaze in awe at the beautiful photographs every time you see it.
