It’s working 🤩
I live less than a quarter mile from a public WiFi hotspot . We have a really big open front yard and I discovered i could connect to the public wifi and stream you tube content from my front yard. I have a clear view of the public wifi source from my house. My laptop would pick it up inside but just barely. For some reason I could not get any internet company to install in my new place. Apparently it was all being used? I’ve been using a cellular hotspot to get by for six months but it just was unreliable . I installed the king swift antenna after playing with locations. And i am now able to stream movies on at least two devices inside my house! The initial setup prompts you pretty logically. You connect to the public wifi and then rebroadcast it. With their router you setup a password and a private in home network. I’m no techie but I’m so grateful this is working. It’s literally day one . Only odd thing is there is a connection about a foot and a half from the antenna that is supposed to be inside. So I’m planning to protect it with self sealing silicone tape and hope for the best! Also the coax cable and connectors are not the standard tv cable type they are tiny.

Out of the already OPENED box review!
On our property we have two log cabins with metal roofs, approx. 150' apart. We were previously using an outdoor USB high gain antenna to pick up the wifi signal at the 2nd. cabin from our router in the main cabin, which worked, but the wired connection wasn't very convenient. So I purchased this unit (without the antenna upgrade) in hopes of going wireless at the 2nd. cabin...This item was shipped to us with a label just stuck to the original product box. It also arrived with the box's original seal cut open, and the items inside were a tad dusty. It had all appearances of being used, returned, and resold. So I was not immediately impressed, but, figured I'd at least give it a try.I powered up the extender downstairs from our router, and used the laptop from the 2nd. cabin for the set-up. The computer immediately detected the factory set connection, but would fail to actually connect to it, per the product directions... So, thinking someone probably had tried to set this unit up before, I skipped some steps and was finally able to obtain an internet connection with it. Then I went BACK and set it up with new network names and passwords, rebooted, and it worked! I then unplugged it, took it and the laptop over to the 2nd. cabin, and plugged it in over there. The lights on the extender quickly illuminated for both 2.4 and 5G signals. I flipped open the laptop in another room, and it detected both bands and we connected it to the 5G. Then I turned on the Smart TV, and it immediately picked up the wifi signals so we were able to set that up. The streaming was flawless. Woo hoo! Upon returning to our main cabin, I opened a different laptop which is connected to our original network, and it detected the new 5G signal (but not the 2.4) from the other cabin! I was really impressed with the signal strength. So, for our needs I think this is going to do the trick, without need of the additional antenna. I am going to remain alert for any malfunction though, being that I still believe this was a returned/resold item. But I will be sure to update my review if need be.

Works well - only as good as local Wi-Fi/internet service
Item purchased for use in Forest River Vibe series travel trailer. This particular Vibe was touted as “pre-wired” for King Wi-Fi components (apparently for an external antenna - separately sold, of course). Specs for the antenna didn’t justify expense. Small signal gain versus the pain of mounting an external antenna atop the RV and very little mantle space behind the TV (where the wiring enters RV — and didn’t want to mount the King Wi-Fi Max to a wall. So, I opted not to go that route.Decided to go with the WI-FI Max stand alone. It works adequately but is only as good as the local Wi-Fi network provided by your campground. That tends to vary widely from place to place (as I’m sure you know). That said, I like that all devices inside my RV are connected once—to the King device (SSID and password entered one time and done for each device). This feature is time saving; avoiding connecting each device separately.Using the “mykingwifi.com” portal, I only have to connect the King device to campground Wi-Fi. When good internet service is available, the King device works very well as do all other devices in the RV connected to the King router/Wi-Fi repeater.Only negative is when poor Wi-Fi/internet service is available, each time you reconnect to another Wi-Fi source from the campground, rebooting the King Wi-Fi Max is required. This can be time consuming.Overall, satisfied with performance of the King Wi-Fi Max.

Works Great!
I got this for our RV travels. Our TT came with an omni-directional antenna mounted to roof and wired to inside. I did a system check on our home WiFi before mounting unit in TT and the unit passed through a full speed signal at home. We've had this unit on the road at two different campgrounds and it has worked at both. One of the bigger benefits of using this unit is our ability to connect any of our devices using the same username and password, because once you log into the campground internet signal the unit retransmits the signal with the username and password that you set. Based on past experience, this is a much better way to use campground internet, which is notoriously weak and slow. This system gives you the advantage of having an outside rooftop antenna and passes through a full speed signal. Also, many campgrounds have unsecured internet, so this system provides better security. Lastly, my smart TV won't even allow connection to an insecure WiFi signal, this system will connect to the insecure system and allow TV to connect. I would highly recommend this system for camping. NOTE: This unit can only repeat what signal is available, so if the existing signal is really bad or weak it can't make the end result way better. It just gives you a better chance to pickup signal with the advantage of an outdoor antenna.
