I ordered a TLSO brace, but shipping was going to take too long, so I ordered this to try in the interim. I suffered a compression fracture of my T5, which healed wrong, causing a deformity and also taking 2" off my anterior height. It's very painful for me to both stand and walk, and often to even sit, so I had to have something. This isn't quite supportive enough for MY injury, but it does help quite a bit and is the most supportive of any other brand of this type that I've tried. Most thoracic fractures are T12 or lower, so my T5 fracture is very uncommon. Thus, I don't think there's anything negative about this brace at all. As I said, it's the best of any brand I've tried, and I think it's because it has two long metal strips going down the back and two shorter ones along the sides, offering much more support. That may make it sound uncomfortable, but it amazingly isn't at all. It also doesn't require someone else to help you put it on after it's been adjusted to your personal fit either, which most rigid TLSO braces do. I think Fit Geno put a lot more thought into the design of this brace than other companies. Most just have thicker material or magnets and neither type was of benefit to me. I had to walk a good distance from street parking on another block to my doctor and PT appointments just a few days ago. Normally, I would've been in terrible pain before even getting there, but this brace made a huge difference. Normally, I wouldn't be able to sit in a regular chair afterward either because the pain would be so bad that I had to lie down, but my pain was greatly reduced and made it possible to sit without the pain becoming any worse. This brace is pretty decent for me, so it may be perfect for people with different injuries. If your injury is farther down than the T5, since that is not common at all, this may work just fine for you. I'd recommend giving it a shot, as it is much less expensive than the rigid TLSO braces, and much more comfortable, too! This isn't labeled as a TLSO brace, so I'm not trying to say that it is. I'm just saying that it's a pretty good substitute for one, and you may not even require that type of brace, so I would recommend it over any other brands that are labeled to do the same as this one. My injury is very uncommon in its location and not correctable since it healed wrong. If those two things don't apply to you, then save yourself the time and trouble of ordering and having to return the wrong brace and just order this brace, period. Good luck. Update: Yes, the smaller size fits much better and feels more comfortable. I’ll still stick by my original saying that you need to measure because it is more accurate sizing that way! And even if you were on the higher end of the smaller size, I would still go for the smaller size.Also, I do feel like it’s helping my posture so far I have only wearing it for about 45 minutes to an hour per day as recommended at first, and then it says you can increase the time you wear it. You don’t want your body to depend on it, you just want it to help you.I think I just bought the wrong size. I normally do not measure. I just go by what my normal sizes are. But you definitely need to measure! I will update my review when I get my new size. But it was kind of uncomfortable and I’m pretty sure I was sent previously returned item. Hopefully the better size will fit better and feel more uncomfortable.

I got this brace once I started to feel pain in my back while installing floors at the time for my job. It definitely helped me with my pain management. The brace is easy to put on and adjust. The brace comes with instructions on how to put it on and adjust it. The brace was easily maneuverable as I was working you just got to adjust it so that way you can easily move.Personally, I didn’t like the Velcro quality because over time I can tell it was wearing down and wouldn’t stick sometimes.

First time purchasing on of these. I measured my waist and bought accordingly. Got it a couple hours ago.I have a long torso. Where this fits most around the waist, this was more of an “over the shoulder boulder holder.” (movie reference)……meaning a breast supporter. Let’s face it ladies…. No one wants to wear anything tight/constricting in that area. The girls flopped over the thing. Tight as a bad fitting bra band.This would be great if I had broken ribs but there was zero lower back support. You know….the area right above someone’s bum crack.Then there is the shoulders. No way to adjust those. No structure support, either - just thick fabric. Because the shoulders straps were big- no making me sit straighter. Did not meet my expectations. I picked this over others because it was pink.Next one, I will measure my length and waist then buy one where it has every section being adjustable because there is no “one fits all” sizing back support. Returning.

Love this product a lot. It’s comfortable, easy to tighten and loosen, and it fit perfectly. Size guide is accurate as well when ordering the right size. I work with young children so I often have to bend over and sit in uncomfortable positions throughout my day. When using this for the first time, I felt immediate relief on my upper back and neck area as well as my lower back. Highly recommend!
