TV Returns!
We are in a fairly high rural location. For over 30 years we were able to bring in 20-30 channels crystal clear using a rooftop antenna. Life was good. Then some braniacs came up with an idea on how to make more money and the digital broadcast was born. Immediately, our TV world was relegated to some channels, some time and others disappeared completely. It was explained to me that with the new signals and the fact that there were actually trees between me and the TV towers (big surprise in any rural area!) our broadcast reception was affected. OTA broadcasts appeared to be a thing of the past for us. Our only option was to subscribe to satellite. After receiving free OTA broadcasts my entire life, there was no way I would pay some exorbitant monthly fee for a lot of stations that I felt were a waste of time. I started to investigate the newer OTA antennas and after a considerable period of time decided on the pingbingding amplified antenna. It was not expensive and everything I had been able to read on it seemed like this might be THE antenna to connect me with free OTA TV again. This ended up being a good call by me. As soon as I received it I put it together and hooked it into my house. After scanning my TV I was again reunited with all of the TV stations that I had remembered getting pre digital. And the pictures are crystal clear. As they advertise, putting it together is very easy and the installation the same. I had I question regarding the unit so I contacted their service area (email) and had an answer from them in an hour or two. I'm a happy guy. Good product, great customer service, ease of installation AND the unit works as advertised. What's not to like. Anyone in the market for an OTA antenna should give this one a try.

Oh, this is so much better!
Yes, this antenna gave me the one station (with 6 channels including Laff TV, Gritt TV and the music videos I enjoy) missing probably due to obstructions. Distance is not my problem; obstructions are why I needed this better antenna. (Yeah, I know, $49 bucks compared to monthly cable or satellite fees “and I’m complaining?”) That built-in preamplifier is probably why this antenna is better. See the picture and note the small cable running from the dipole to the preamplifier in the middle? There is a red light, which stays on in the antenna to verify the function, and this set-up creates the strongest signal from each channel to your TV.So yes, 47 channels from my old antenna and 51 with this new antenna, considering this antenna cost what satellite TV charged per month, YES, I am a happy camper! As with satellite, I get two home shopping networks and three Spanish channels, ALSO receive the local channel satellite TV charged extra for because of their contract negotiated price was passed on the to the viewers in an extra monthly charge, LOL. In recording all shows and movies on a DVR to fast-forward through commercials, end up delete selections when I get behind adding to the irony of paying for TV.Add insult to injury, I used the existing cables ran by the satellite company and simply connected them to my new antenna I mounted in the attic. YES, one could just lay the antenna on the rafters but Pingbingding circumvented that by including the mounting pole. I pulled the attic ladder down, remained on the steps, installed my new antenna with the mounting bracket on a rafter - screwed it into existing satellite cables - reprogrammed my TV, DONE!Interesting to note a lesson pingbingding taught me with the F-F coupler included, to eliminate any splitter utilized before tuning in channels the first time, so you will not limit the ability to receive as many channels as possible. Yes, I have the fancy splitter the satellite company used and sure enough, when I spliced it in for my other TVs, I lost some signal strength. Did not lose the channel, just some quality. Would not have known that if not for their efforts to test the antenna equipment as noted in the instructions and YouTube video on how to assemble the antenna. How did I find out this is what I needed? Have enjoyed contacting pingbingding service people with questions and they enjoy providing a level of customer service above all others. Yep, respect and integrity drive them to insure I am satisfied and get this folks: When the only answer the service team could come up with was a replacement of a part, the part arrived two days later with a request to report the outcome. It fixed my problem and I gained four Spanish channels but still lost the one noted above. That is when Bill the service person told me about this antenna and I bought it the same day wherein, thus as noted: one happy camper! Thank You service person Bill & pingbingding!

Easy install, signal good, seems durable "enough"
I had to mount this on the side of my house while partially hanging out of a 3rd story window, so I wanted something that was not terribly difficult to install and included a stand off so I wouldn't have issues with compatibility. This product worked well, and though it has several plastic parts, all nuts/bolts seemed to tighten up nicely and it seems sturdy. Once installed I did have to adjust the orientation slightly to maximize my signal, but channels come in consistently and I'm happy with the purchase. 4 stars since the jury is out on the actual durability, but I am confident.
